BlackBerry Q10 review

Even though it doesn’t have a giant display, the BlackBerry Q10 may prove more interesting to mainstream users than the Z10. After all, there are a million touchscreen smartphones in the world. There aren’t many phones with good physical keyboards (and...

BlackBerry Q10 review: There and back again

Some revolutions end in triumph, others in tyranny. It's a walk on the edge of a blade between glory and the guillotine. And BlackBerry has had its share of revolutions - the most recent ones being the rebranding and the OS gone touch-only two...

Four-row hardware QWERTY keyboard ; Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, tri/quad-band UMTS/HSPA, 100 Mbps LTE ; 3.1" 16M-color 720p (720 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen ; Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait, 2GB RAM, Adreno 225 (LTE version) /Dual-core 1.5...

Brand new UI has a steep learning curve ; BlackBerry Maps may be even worse than Apple Maps ; No FM radio ; BlackBerry World is still missing key apps ; Screen size is too small by today's standards and the 1:1 aspect is awkward for video watching

The BlackBerry Q10 is an easy phone to appreciate - in fact, if you have the right bit of old-fashioned in you, it's an easy phone to love. It's skillfully designed and adequately powered, a modern take on a traditional aesthetic, the next installment...

BlackBerry Q10 review

The BlackBerry Q10 delivers the great QWERTY feel that fans have been waiting for, but those looking to consume content will want to stick to the larger panel on the Z10.

Great physical keyboard ; Solid build quality ; Good display

Small display ; Mediocre camera ; Limited app selection

The BlackBerry Q10 is, for the most part, exactly what we expected it to be: a Z10 with a smaller display and a physical keyboard. There's not much between the two phones when it comes to performance or aesthetics and, while the improvement in battery...

BlackBerry Q10 (T-Mobile)

The BlackBerry Q10 smartphone is a laser-focused niche product for messaging enthusiasts, and T-Mobile offers it for the lowest price of any major carrier.

Unparalleled hardware keyboard. Excellent messaging. High-quality Web browser.

Limited app support. Mediocre cameras. No Wi-Fi calling.

Conclusions There are two things to ask here: If I'm with T-Mobile, should I buy the Q10? And: If I'm shopping for a Q10, should I consider T-Mobile?

BlackBerry Q10 (AT&T)

As expected, the BlackBerry Q10 for AT&T sets the bar for QWERTY messaging phones, but it can't quite compete with other smartphone leaders.

Classy design. Impeccable QWERTY keyboard. Sharp screen.

Very few third party apps. Mediocre camera.

BlackBerry Q10 review: revenge of the keyboard

I feel like we've been here before. In any discussion about BlackBerry, "The Bold is the one you really want" is a line you could've used at practically any point in the last five years. And so it...

Top-notch portrait QWERTY keyboard ; Design is an improvement over Z10 ; Livable battery life

BlackBerry 10 still young, app catalog is light ; "Go home" gesture more finicky than on Z10 ; Screen could be much brighter

If you’re not on the Q10 for the productivity bonus, what are you here for?

BlackBerry Q10 review

Say hello to the BlackBerry Q10, which offers a larger and more spacious QWERTY keyboard and a fresh infusion of the BlackBerry 10.1 operating system . It builds on the greatness of past BlackBerry messaging machines, yet blends this with modern...

The BlackBerry Q10 boasts a superb physical keyboard, the latest BlackBerry OS (version 10.1), smooth performance, and long battery life.

The BlackBerry Q10’s screen is small. Its camera is average, not exceptional. BlackBerry 10’s learning curve is long and its app selection trails behind those of its competitors.

The BlackBerry Q10 is a great phone for QWERTY diehards and e-mail addicts, but anyone who doesn't need a physical keyboard should skip it.

Keyed Off

The BlackBerry Z10 , with its big, shiny touchscreen, is the phone aimed at the tap-curious among the business set. But as the device with a hardware keyboard, the Q10 is the one you'll see clenched in the fists of type-A personalities in Thomas Pink...

BlackBerry Q10 (AT&T) Review

Once upon a time, BlackBerrys were the envy of the mobile-phone world, and consumers flocked to Bolds and Curves to BBM and email on the go. But while times have changed, BlackBerry has done well by QWERTY fans by bringing a handset to market with a...

Excellent physical keyboard, Good multitasking capabilities, BlackBerry Hub serves all your messaging needs, Several enhancements in BlackBerry 10.1 software

Small screen, Limited app selection
