BlackBerry Storm 2 (Verizon Wireless)

Let's be honest. Research In Motion's first foray in the world of the touch-screen smartphones wasn't exactly a smashing success. The RIM BlackBerry Storm was riddled with bugs and performance issues, which were resolved with subsequent software...

The RIM BlackBerry Storm 2 adds Wi-Fi, more memory, and an updated operating system that brings a number of feature and user interface enhancements. The revamped SurePress touch screen allows for more precision, key rollover, and limited multitouch...

BlackBerry browser isn't on par with the competition. While improved, the touch screen still takes some acclimation

The RIM BlackBerry Storm 2 brings some welcome additions, such as Wi-Fi, updated software, and a better touch interface, but it's going to face some serious competition from Verizon's upcoming touch-screen smartphones.

BlackBerry Storm (Verizon Wireless)

Editors' note: We have updated the review since its last publish date to include changes to features and performance after installing the BlackBerry OS version released by Verizon Wireless on May 31, 2009.

The RIM BlackBerry Storm features an innovative touch screen that provides tactile feedback to confirm your selection. The Storm offers dual-mode functionality for world-roaming capabilities as well as EV-DO Rev. A and UMTS/HSDPA support. Other...

The Storm's SurePress touch-screen takes some acclimation and the onscreen keyboard is a bit cramped. The smartphone can still be sluggish even after the firmware update. Speakerphone quality was a bit choppy

The RIM BlackBerry Storm may blow in a frenzy for Verizon Wireless subscribers wanting a touch screen similar to the Apple iPhone. However, there are bugs and performance issues that prevent the Storm from delivering its full potential.

RIM BlackBerry Storm2 review

The TomTom Start is a standalone satnav device with a 3.5in touchscreen.

We aren't wholly enthused with the Storm 2 and are hoping for a sleeker, yet more tactile model to emerge that can truly rival the iPhone. However, if you favour touchscreen smartphones and want the strong business credentials of a BlackBerry, you'll...

RIM BlackBerry Storm2

The Storm2 fixes the faults of its predecessor, most notably by the inclusion of next-gen SurePress touch-screen technology and Wi-Fi.

One of the problems facing the S2 is that it simply cannot be rated only against the original Storm. As such, the S2, with its next-gen SurePress touch-screen technology and Wi-Fi, is a far better, more rounded phone, but compared to the latest...

Worst phone I ever had!!!

Found at the i was not the only person having these issues. After replacing the phone 3 times and doing what a lot of others suggested i contacted BlackBery Techs. Their reponse was that they did not know what the issue was. The techs told me it was...

I loved the layout and features that the phone offered

The phone would freeze up all the time no matter what you were using it for. From texting to using the internet, when selecting an icon it could take as long as 5 minutes for the phone to engage

Run far, far away from this phone.

The screen looks nice, and it's a nice size

This phone's a nightmare. First of all, it freezes non-stop, and takes about 10 minutes (AT LEAST) to reboot. The lag, even with the bare minimum of things running, is enough to throw the thing across the room. I miss phone calls because the screen won't

Worst. BlackBerry. EVER!!!

It has an inherent cool factor just by way of the design, though I personally wish there were other colors for it. (A white one or even a red one would have ROCKED.) It's pretty simple to use, and it's quite sturdy

This thing crashes more than the Crash Dummies. Simple as that

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. Terrible. Get an iPhone instead.

VERY Few pros. It's Blackberry and touch-screen, so if your work REQUIRES you to use Blackberry, and you demand a touch-screen, this is for you ; Large Screen ; Has work email and calendar

Terrible touch-screen interface. Hard to use, hard to master. After 6 months, I still had trouble with this device. Consider an iPhone--where anyone can master it in a day or two. Blackberry should go out of business for producing such a terrible, poorl

Perfect For Work/Personal Use!

It is very fast ; Awesome menu structure and ease of navigation ; Music player, photo album and video device is is excellent ; Keyboard is great ; TONS of free apps are available ; Good camera for a phone, flash is good, and auto focus is awesome

Battery life is about a day with moderate use ; When you sync to facebook and email, the contacts are automatically added to your phone's contact list ; No separate phone send and end buttons

This phone is junk

A half star is way to good for this expensive paper weight. This was the biggest waste of money, the touch screen doesn't work right, sometimes it doesn't click, it turns it's self off, the alarm usally doesn't work, the screen cracked its self while i...

There are no pros
