BlackBerry Style 9670 Review

BlackBerry's Style 9670 folds the RIM's legendary messaging abilities into a compact, stylish package that does what a phone needs to do, and then some.

BlackBerry Style 9670 (Sprint)

If you flip for flip phones, the BlackBerry Style 9670 for Sprint could be the smartphone of your dreams.

Great build quality. BlackBerry 6 OS. Excellent voice quality.

External screen doesn't do enough. Weak selection of apps. Keyboard is a bit flat for a BlackBerry.

Conclusions Sprint offers an excellent array of texting phones and smartphones, and the Style fits neatly into the middle of that lineup. It requires a monthly plan that's more expensive than texting phones like the LG Rumor Touch ($49, 4 stars), but...

BlackBerry Style 9670 Review

If you like the clamshell design and you want a messaging phone that can do more, the Style is a solid choice for $99. With its relatively snappy performance and a good camera, this device is one of the best mid-range offerings on Sprint. In fact, in...

BlackBerry 6 OS enhancements, Good camera, External screen provides message previews, Nice selection of pre-loaded apps

Keyboard is a bit flat, Relatively slow web browser, Lid picks up fingerprints

BlackBerry Style 9670 (Boost Mobile)

The Boost version also lacks Sprint's various multimedia apps, including Sprint TV and the Sprint Music Store. You still get TeleNav GPS Navigator, which offers voice-enabled, turn-by-turn directions for $9.99 per month. Speaking of pricing, while the...

Nifty flip form factor. Great voice quality. Strong reception. Cheaper plan prices than with the Sprint version

Short battery life. Pitiful app store. Few decent apps available

As Research In Motion's lineup continues to age, the BlackBerry Style may be the nicest way yet to enjoy the platform; we're particularly fond of Boost Mobile's inexpensive plan prices.

Unboxing and First Impressions: BlackBerry Style 9670 (Boost Mobile)

We were kindly provided a Boost BlackBerry Style for review by Boost Mobile's PR agency this month and I've been using it as my primary phone instead of my E71. My full review won't go up until this weekend, but here are a few things that I've been...

BlackBerry Style Review Pt. 2

Review: BlackBerry Style 9670 (Sprint) review

The BlackBerry Style 9670 is Sprint's first BlackBerry, and the second in the United States (the Torch 9800 on AT&T was the first), to run Research In Motion's new BlackBerry 6 operating system. It also features a unique clamshell form factor that...

Solid industrial design, good call quality, decent battery life

Low resolution display, awkward while taking pictures, so-so keyboard

We have a more in-depth look on how the BlackBerry 6 operating system works as part of our BlackBerry Torch 9800 review. For the most part, it's very consistent with that, though you can't simply tap the screen to interact with menus or objects....

BlackBerry 9670 Style

RIM has clearly made a departure from its usual portrait QWERTY with the addition of the BlackBerry Style (9670). A smart, attractive flip, the Style impresses immediately with its quality build materials; just holding it transmits a sense that this...
