Motorola WILDER Review

Following in the footsteps of phones that can take a few beatings or water drops, the Motorola Wilder looks at those challenges from a different angle. It is not to be dunked in liquids, like the Motorola Defy+, nor does it have its smartphone...

Motorola Wilder Review

The Motorola Wilder is a tough feature phone with a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen. It's both dust and splash-resistant.

Great call quality ; Resilient, compact design

Unresponsive touchscreen ; Unimpressive camera

The Motorola Wilder’s price may be attractive, but we don't think that that really saves it. Basic tasks like writing text messages are difficult and the unresponsive resistive screen basically makes doing anything tricky.

Motorola Wilder

The Motorola Wilder is an affordable alternative to the life-proof Defy. However, with its downsized touchscreen and lack of Android, can it stand up against its highly-specced sibling?

Unlike some "rugged" smartphones, the Motorola Wilder is surprisingly compact, and dare we say it's even quite attractive. The handset's bump-proof casing weighs in at a tiny 82g too, despite feeling both sturdy and fairly-weighty in the hand.

Don`t be tempted to buy

Terrible

Without doubt the worst phone I've ever bought. As the other reviewers have pointed out the call quality is simply awful, making the phone more or less unusable. I gave up using it for that after two calls. Also scrolling contacts, etc, is terrible as...

disappointing

Had this for a few days now and got it as a replacement from my Motorola Pebl (a clamshell) as I wanted a small phone (not a smart phone) that fitted easily in a shirt pocket. It does this well, is light,is a nice size and it appears to be nicely...
