Casio G’zOne Boulder

After covering the release of Casio's G'zOne Boulder ultra-rugged mobile phone, we couldn't wait to get our hands on one for review and put Casio's rather bold claims to the test. When we finally got a chance to toss, dunk and drop it, we weren't...

Rock solid durability; water resistant; useful flashlight

Chunky in size; average feature set; useless compass; expensive

Casio's Boulder truly goes a step beyond in durability.

Rough Riding Casio Phone Is Like Getting a Hummer (No, ...

I'm not going to mince words. This phone is orange. Really orange. Like in the same obnoxious vein as the color options for a new Hummer. But if you can

Armored cross section where mud meets multimedia. External LCD doubles as wanderlust-friendly E-compass. Awesome camera flash/flashlight combo. Expanded memory via microSD card slot. Solid call quality – even after 12 rounds of tough love. Included...

Terrible speakerphone quality for both voice and music. Far too expensive. Annoying multi-colored lights show signals incoming calls. No file sharing via Bluetooth. Lackluster 1.3MP camera sucks for both stills and video. Sweet angles still can't hide...

Review: Casio G'zOne Boulder review

We've tested Casio G'zOne rugged handsets before - even frozen them in ice. But never before has one been subjected to Jello. Ricky gives us his thoughts on the G'zOne Boulder and provides us with some video.

Just broke the stupid phone by dropping it.

Casio G'zOne Boulder

If you spend your weekends trekking through the Himalayas or have a fetish for extreme sports, then this is the cell phone for you.

If a survivalist cheated and acquiesced to making that 9-1-1 call from the middle of nowhere after days in the bush, the Casio G’zone Boulder is probably the cell phone he’d use. The Boulder meets all military specifications for water, shock and dust...

Casio G’zOne Boulder

My company issued me one of these phones about 3 years ago. Iam an electrician and often work in “extreme” conditions. This thing is tuff as hell! I've dropped it from 20′ off rooftops with no problem. It has also been deep under water, also with no...

Casio G’zOne Boulder

I love the phone I purchased the extended battery off the bat online and get up to 2 days with out charging. Had to say the charging dock is a little fussy but all in all a great phone if you just want a basic durable phone.

Casio G’zOne Boulder

Unlike some of the others that have said there phone was junk, mine has been through hell and back and still works like a charm. I did have to recently replace the battery, but after a year of use I expect that with any phone. I was a 10 plus year...

Casio G'zOne Boulder

I might as well use a rock to make calls. This phone is absolutely the worst cell phone I have ever used. The Bluetooth is temperamental, the sound quality is poor, limited information can be stored in contacts- no addresses or additional information....
