Motorola Droid MAXX Review

Motorola Droid Maxx

Motorola's Droid Maxx combines the innovative features found on the Droid Ultra and Moto X with a battery that lasts nearly 10 hours.

Nearly 10 hours of battery life; Bright colorful display; Speedy performance; Touchless voice controls

Relatively heavy; Pricey; Lacks 1080p display

Verizon customers have a tough decision to make when buying a top-tier Android phone, even when choosing among new Motorola devices. If you like Motorola's touchless voice controls, the $199 Moto X is a great choice because of its compact design. The...

Motorola Droid Maxx Preview

The Motorola Droid Maxx, available with or without a two-year contract, is a splash resistant Android smartphone with a number of nice features. These include a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16-32GB of internal storage (with the option to...

Motorola Droid Maxx

Editors' note: Our early Motorola Droid Maxx test model used unstable prerelease software. This review was updated based on our latest experience with a rock-solid production-level Droid Maxx device.

The Motorola Droid Maxx delivers astonishingly long battery life, a big, colorful screen, and a durable, attractive design. The phone performs inventive tricks such as responding to voice commands, giving screen-based notifications, and quick-launching...

The Motorola Droid Maxx is expensive.

If you can get past its steep price, the massive-screened Motorola Droid Maxx is currently Verizon’s best Android smartphone.

Motorola DROID MAXX Review

There are a few key differences between the Motorola DROID MAXX and the DROID Ultra – first the MAXX has a higher capacity 3500mAh battery to provide longer usage time, as well as 32GB of internal memory instead of only 16GB, and soft-touch coating on...

Good build quality using Kevlar construction ; Higher capacity 3500mAh battery ; Excellent call quality

No expandable storage ; Display should be 1080p at this price point

Coming in at $300 with a 2-year Verizon contract, the Motorola DROID MAXX is the most expensive of the three DROID models. It combines all the features of the DROID Ultra, but increases the battery to 3500mAh, doubles the internal memory to 32GB, and...

"I believe its the Best Cell Phone out there.."

First, price isn't really issue - jsut bought for like $197 from Sams (though they didn't get approval from Verizon well, took me some time). I think the reviewers take more buzz than reality into their reviews. This phone has great performance, great...

Great screen.

Major - no SD card.

"design. Quality materials not plastic junk like MotoX"

I am in love with this technology. There I said it. It is about MATERIALS and QUALITY. No plastic crap phones please.

Design, Function, Durability, expandable memory, easy to use, good security features.

Price...not for the average person for sure.

"Much better than the Razr HD MAXX"

Best Phone. Once you have a phone that goes for days without charging you realize how annoying charging your phone was. Nothing worse than going dead when you need your phone most or not using it to save battery.

Im not sure how you can compare this to an iPhone. iPhones are great but this is so much better. I only recommend iPhones to people over 60 because they are simple to use.

No IR like the One and no SD card slot.
