Although the phone is sturdy and good to handle it does not have the basic functions of other cell phones and Telstraclear are selling this phone for $245. I think it is far too basic to command this price so I am stuck with this phone.
It is a nice sturdy phone to handle and the numbers are a good size
When txting having to scroll through your whole phone book to get the person you want to txt. Also only stores cell phone numbers for each person no ability to store 2 numbers or an address for a person. Very frustrating

I've never had a call I couldn't understand due to the speakers which are fit for hearing impaired; easier to hold in big hands; great size screen to see all the information there.
Large screen, all information fits in screen, larger buttons made for big fingers, excellent volume, lots of ringtones
no complaints

We used to recommend the Samsung Jitterbug J as one of the best senior-friendly phones out there due to its ease of use and the fact that it comes with an array of operator services. However, the biggest complaint about the Jitterbug is the price: the...

The PhoneEasy 410 is the better of the two Doro phones being sold by Consumer Cellular, a low-cost wireless provider which uses AT&T's physical network. The 410 is a tri-band (850/1800/1900 MHz) clamshell phone, in black or white with green accents. At...
Excellent keys. Elegant design. Easy to use. Good voice quality. Affordable
Somewhat difficult to set up
The Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm is an excellent, affordable option for older folks and technophobes who want a simple voice phone, though they may need a more tech-savvy family member to help set it up.

The Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm is a great basic mobile for the elderly and those who are less tech-inclined. But if you think this is as good as it gets, think again -- the Doro PhoneEasy 409gsm is simpler still.
Incredibly simple to use ; Great emergency features ; Hearing aid compatibility
Screen could be bigger ; Extra features may be unnecessary
We're fond of the Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm and its super-simple ethos. If you're after a really back-to-basics handset, though, the 409 is better still, offering the same emergency and hearing-aid-friendly features -- plus it's about £10 cheaper.

The Doro 410 is a no-frills clamshell phone from the Swedish phone manufacturer you might not have heard of. It's available now at around £150 SIM free. We are all getting older, our eyesight starts to fail noticeable from around the age of 40 and lots...

First another in the range of Doro mobile phones for those less agile and or with disabilities. Second a DECT cordless phone suitable for anyone's home and it includes a built in answering machine for those times you are not there
This is almost like a normal mobile phone except it has the larger buttons and an easy to read display. It has Bluetooth and MMS and even a built in FM radio. It is a flip phone and when closed the black back makes it look like ant other phone. However...
There are just 18 keys all well spaced apart. The bottom four rows are the normal 1-0 and * #.

Apart from mainstream wired phones for home and office, Doro also do DECT phones. Recently their mobile offerings are becoming widely accepted for those with disabilities, first however a seven button remote control.
How can a remote control with only seven buttons replace a remote control with forty or more buttons. In short it can’t but often the only controls required are volume up or down and channel up or down and this it can duplicate. Most remote control...

At a time when a great many cellphones are getting smaller, the Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm presses the, slightly larger, buttons and offers what a great many users -- especially the more mature -- want.
Doro is a Swedish manufacturer which, rather than directly competing with the better known names, carefully addresses niche markets. To that end, hearing aid compatibility, an emergency call facility, Bluetooth, two-way peakerphone and an FM radio are...
After all, to someone who doesn’t use a phone very much, the radio may be the justification to carry the phone at all times.
