Internal and external displays, gesture control, TrackID, Walkman software, 1GB M2 card included
Touch sensitive music controls aren't responsive enough, keypad is flat and uncomfortable, no 3.5mm headphone jack
The Sony Ericsson W508a follows a similar lead to previous, mid-range Walkman mobile phones. It's relatively inexpensive, best described as solid and has an excellent display. It won't wow you with its features list, but it doesn't need to.

Stylish design, responsive touch screen, Android platform, notifications and status bar, excellent integration with Google services, Android Market app store, polished Web browser, Microsoft Exchange and PDF/document viewer out of the box
No 3.5mm headphone jack, mediocre non-Gmail e-mail support, no over-the-air updates, no geotagging
HTC's Magic, available on 3 Mobile, has corrected many faults of the previous Dream, making it an excellent smartphone on the whole. The lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack is disappointing and the Android Market is still in its infancy with no paid apps ...

No 3.5mm headphone jack, average feature set, call quality was slightly below par
The Samsung J800 is a stylish and user-friendly mobile phone that gave an average performance across the board. If you want a basic handset that doesn't skimp on style, the J800 is worth checking out.

Design, aesthetics, QWERTY keyboard, simple yet effective interface, speed, HSDPA-capable, Wi-Fi
Proprietary headphone/charging jack, no GPS, poor browser, expensive
LG's Prada KF900 is proof that fashion phones don't always have to be all style and no substance. The lack of GPS and a standard headphone jack are downsides, but the QWERTY keyboard is excellent and the interface is a winner.

TelstraOne Experience interface, design, well-implemented controls and keypad, smooth slider, HSDPA-capable, Wi-Fi, 4GB M2 card included
Slider does wiggle slightly when pressed, incoming audio could be louder, no GPS

Mediocre screen resolution, text input is frustrating
Motorola's MOTOSURF A3100 is one of the most pleasant to use Windows Mobile devices we've tested. The screen is mediocre when compared to other phones and text entry will frustrate, but the TelstraOne Experience and Moto Homescreen skins make this ...

Nokia's E75 builds on the style of previous E Series smartphones, and its QWERTY keyboard is excellent. If you're looking for a smartphone packed full of features that has a smart design, then the Nokia E75 will definitely impress.

No 3.5mm headphone jack, limited accelerometer, no Wi-Fi
The Samsung UltraTouch is a great option for those who are intrigued by touch-screen technology but aren't ready to completely throw away the familiar physical keys just yet. The lack of Wi-Fi and a regular headphone jack are disappointments, but the ...

Samsung's E2510 is an entry-level flip phone boasting some features that are normally reserved for much more expensive handsets. It's not perfect, but at just $59, this is probably the best value mobile phone we've ever reviewed and a must if your ...
