Looks good, wide variety of games, well-built, expandable memory
Motion sensing is not effective, small number keys are too firm
If you're looking for a mobile phone that you can play a wide variety of games on, then the motion-sensing Sony Ericsson F305 might be for you.

Cheap, FM radio, decent display, flashlight
Rear cover creaks, cramped keypad, call volume could be louder, no Bluetooth
The Nokia 1661 features a reasonable display and an FM radio, but the cramped keypad is annoying. At this price, though, it's hard to complain.

Cheap, compact, flashlight
Tiny display, first row of keys too close to controls, no Bluetooth
The Nokia 1209 is a basic mobile phone that makes calls and sends text messages. It does the job, but don't expect any more than the bare necessities, aside from a handy flashlight and a ring tone composer.

Very tough, waterproof to one metre for up to 30min, good interface
Calls sound slightly muffled and fuzzy, software needs to be downloaded, only waterproof to one metre
The Sonim XP3 Enduro ruggedised GSM mobile phone is tough, waterproof and very good value. If you have an active lifestyle or work in a tough environment where accidents are common, this is a phone that's well worth a look.

Build quality, compact design, excellent display, graphical user interface, responsive touch screen, 3.5mm headphone jack, great list of features
Slightly sluggish in some areas, keystroke lag when messaging, 3D cube isn't as intuitive or smooth as it could be, no App Store, TV-out cable not included
LG definitely deserves some credit for thinking outside the box. The LG Arena offers a wealth of features, but although the new user interface certainly looks fantastic, it sometimes feels sluggish and this affects the user experience.

Size and design, value for money, interface, pre-installed apps
No 3.5mm headphone jack, no volume control buttons, directional keys a little small
At this price, Motorola's VE538 is a steal. It's a great option if you looking at purchasing your first 3G mobile phone. It's particularly good for teenagers on a budget considering both the Planet 3 content portal and the preinstalled social ...

Value for money, solid build quality, decent features list, customisable shortcut menus
Long when slid open, keypad is too flat, selection keys poorly placed, no 3.5mm headphone jack
The Samsung S7330's magical touch window isn't a deal-breaker, nor is it innovative. However, this mobile phone still provides decent value for its asking price.

Excellent design, fantastic display, BlackBerry e-mail, Wi-Fi and GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, document editor
Lack of 3G connectivity, flimsy battery cover rattles, keyboard is a little noisy when pressed
Despite lacking 3G, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is still an excellent smartphone, and it boasts an outstanding display. The stylish and compact design makes it the best looking BlackBerry yet, without compromising the end user experience.

Gloss black finish, light, comfortable keypad and controls, good value for money
Fingerprint magnet, screen difficult to see in sunlight, interface a little slow
Samsung's C5220 certainly represents good value for money. It's not a mobile phone that will blow you away in terms of features, but this is a solid package that should serve most users well.

Compact size, comfortable and easy to use, SMS capabilities
Only one Thuraya satellite available for connection to satellite network
The Thuraya SO-2510 offers the ability to connect to a satellite network in a compact and easy to use package. Unfortunately it relies on a single satellite.
