Samsung Gravity 3 (blue, T-Mobile)

As it goes with some trilogies, the third installment in Samsung's Gravity series--the Gravity 3 slider for T-Mobile--amps up the production value and visual effects, but adds little to the storyline. That's not to suggest that the Gravity 3 isn't a...

The attractive Samsung Gravity 3 receives a makeover from its previous version while keeping many of its predecessor's best features, including Web mail and Exchange e-mail support, TeleNav turn-by-turn directions, and a full QWERTY keyboard

E-mail is clunky to use, and there's no dedicated headset jack for listening to music or making wired calls

The Samsung Gravity 3's full QWERTY keyboard and messaging features are enough to satisfy most heavy communicators, with other advanced features icing the cake. At $50 with a two-year service agreement, the Gravity is a good midlevel option for those...

Samsung Gravity 3 SGH-T479 (T-Mobile)

As with the Gravity 2, T-Mobile chose an odd, circular menu for the Gravity 3's default setting. Switching to grid mode helped, although the nine wire-frame icons still looked cheap. Getting around was simple and fast using the five-way control pad—a...

Excellent keyboards. Solid construction. Workable e-mail programs and Web browser. Sharp camera. Solid battery life

Non-standard headphone jack. Buggy Bluetooth music playback

The Samsung Gravity 3's balanced feature set, reasonable plan pricing, and excellent overall performance make it a winner on T-Mobile.

Cell phone reviews:Samsung Gravity 3 and the Pantech Jest

Today we review two great messaging phones, the Samsung Gravity 3 and the Pantech Jest. If you don't mind tying yourself to a contract, either of these affordable devices could suit your needs.

Below the display is a navigational array and the keypad. All of the buttons are fair in size and responsive to the touch. Sliding the phone to the right reveals a full QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard has an interesting look, and is great for messaging...

Samsung Gravity 3 Review

The Samsung Gravity 3 is- wait for it- the third Gravity phone to be released by T-Mobile in just the last year and a half, although this time around it's got some relatives. The Gravity 3 isn't a big departure from the Gravity 2, offering little more...

Samsung Gravity 3

Even though this cellular device lacks touchscreen capabilities, the numerical keypad and full QWERTY keyboard make navigation through this device simple. This cell phone offers several multimedia features such as a 2MP camera, music player, video...

This cell phone provides 400 hours of standby time on a single battery charge

There are no touchscreen capabilities on the Samsung Gravity 3

The Samsung Gravity 3 feels like a smartphone with less advanced features.

"Okay Basic Messaging Phone"

This phone is great for a 1st phone. It's very easy to use. It's also has decent call quality. The down side was that it's build quality is okay because I dropped the phone once and it has a big ship on the side. Also it doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone...

Great Keyboard

No 3.5mm Headphone jack

"Great phone."

Great phone if your looking for just that. This with just voice and text plan like I have is a communication device that has a few extra handy features. Clock, calender, memo's blah blah blah.

sturdy. I've dropped mine multiple times from standing levels, even once on the side walk while running. But the only damage has been 100% cosmetic and even while sliding on it's face on the sidewalk the screen did not get scratched up, only paint.

E-mail doesn't come with texting/IM dispute being able to send pictures, video, etc from texts. No headphone jack which would of been VERY handy for MP3 plaback.

"OK phone- good for just text but slide breaks + issues"

I only had this phone for a few months before it broke, and because I upgraded my T-mobile plan I was not able to get a replacement and instead I have to get an upgrade. It served me well, although it was annoying and sometimes frustrating to use, it...

-Small phone. Portable, does not do a lot of "pocket dials"

-Slide does break- mine is unable to be replaced and I have to upgrade

Small phone. Portable, does not do a lot of "pocket dials ; Slide out keyboard, easy to use for texting ; decent interface. Good for a not smart phone. Easy to get to menus, easy to send texts or make calls ; headset is decent- I did not have too many is

Slide does break- mine is unable to be replaced and I have to upgrade ; Phone itself can be annoying- pop up saying "(user) is not available" and other pop ups occur frequently which are bothersome and drain the battery- as well as it beeps every time thi

"Best phone I've had, but has it's share of problems."

As I said, it's the best phone I have personally ever had, but if I could get those problems fixed it would be perfect. The biggest problem, though, is with Samsung and the community at large, because nobody seems to have help information ANYWHERE on...

QWERTY Keyboard, Samsung New PC Studio, Does great job downloading games online when on data plan, been dropped a million times and only has a couple scratches, Nuance voice control, 2 Megapixel camera, these amongst many other things I'm not typing down.

I only have a few problems with this phone. Worst problem is that for some reason, in camcorder mode, you can only have a tiny little video, it's not full, so not only does it suck trying to capture a video, it looks like crap in full screen on a computer
