Helio Mysto Cell Phone

Going by looks alone, the Helio Mysto ($150 with a two-year contract as of 4/11/08) certainly qualifies as hot. This gray-blue beauty measures 4.1 by 1.9 inches and is a Levi's-friendly half-inch thick. Yet despite its slim figure, the Mysto is...

Good-looking, slim, pocketable design Filled with cool, hip mobile apps

Controls/keypad are cramped, stiff Lacks QWERTY keyboard

For music, the Mysto comes with a loud but thin-sounding speaker, earbuds, a microSD slot that's buried in the battery compartment (along with 106MB internal memory), and stereo Bluetooth. The basic but functional MP3 player lets you create playlists,...

Helio Mysto Review

Helio is one of the few indie phone operators around, and the Mysto is the latest in its line of stylish, youth-oriented units. It is lightweight and multimedia friendly, but some will find it too focused on next-gen features and not friendly enough...

Slick design; nice multimedia features

Weird key design; gets hot easily; high learning curve

Helio Mysto

The built-in e-mail client is compatible with AIM, AOL, EarthLink, Gmail, Windows Live, and Yahoo!. Also included is a plan app group, which consists of a calendar, to-do list, wake-up call, alarm, World Time app, a unit converter, calculator,...

Gorgeous design. Good-sounding music player. Keys provide haptic feedback. Built-in GPS and EV-DO support

Useless camera. CPU chokes on most video files. Irritating End Call button

The Helio Mysto's looks mesmerize, but the device comes up short in a few key areas.

"It does everything (just very poorly)"

I feel like Samsung "overdeveloped" the phone...

Pros: hang on a second, I've almost got one.... Oh yeah! It looks cool

battery life is not what they say it is. camera has a 3 sec. lag. phone developed a lag on screen and soft buttons after 2 months. texting is an utter pain in the rear

Helio Mysto

I feel like Samsung "overdeveloped" the phone and tried to cram too many features in, compromising the functionality of every single one. The email sync is pretty great but other than that this phone has been a total disappointment. One real bummer is...

"The Phone is one thing, the service is another"

Since day one my experience with Helio has be...

The phone is small and a sleek design. Can access the internet in a slow and awkward way

What good is a nice phone if the carrier has poor coverage and the worst customer service ever? I was told I'd have good coverage where I live when in fact I have less than a bar of reception. Plus, I receive voicemail hours, sometimes days late

"Helio Is a powerhouse!!!!"

This is a great phone to have. It is convenie...

The slider is very strong. I had 8 Ocean RMA's in 2008. I downgraded to the Mysto.. The buttons are well placed where you can reach. The end button was moved to the side of the Device for the dedicated "back button" in easier reach for quick texting
