Mini review video: Our verdict on the HTC 10 in a minute

Simply put, this is the best phone HTC has made in years. It's fantastic, though not exactly perfect. While its build quality is tremendous and there's plenty of horsepower under the hood, HTC still isn'tquiteas good as Samsung at cameras, while the...

Exceptional build quality ; A more subtle approach to software than on previous HTC phones ; Top-tier performance ; First Android phone that supports Airplay streaming out of the box ; Great audio through headphones

Merely average battery life ; Camera performance falls short of some rivals ; Sound is considerably less impressivewhen you listen through speakers ; Hi-res earbuds aren't included with US models

HTC 10 Review

If everybody loves an underdog story, why aren't more people buying HTC phones? That's the question the Android stalwart must be puzzling over, having spent the past four to five years trying to figure out how to be "critic's choice" rather than...

I suspect you already know whether you’re going to buy the HTC 10. “I suspect you already know whether you’re going to buy the HTC 10.” In many ways, HTC is playing to the crowd with its latest flagship: an industrial design that’s a refinement on the...

HTC 10 review: Stunning audio, slick aluminum design, first selfie cam with OIS

The cameras are better than anything we've seen on HTC devices before, and nothing else matches the fit and finish of the HTC 10.

Refined aluminum uni-body design, fit, and finish ; Stunning headphone audio experience ; Return of excellent HTC BoomSound speakers ; Reliable and quick fingerprint scanner ; Long battery life ; Cool freestyle theme personalization

Rear camera not as good as the Galaxy S7, G5, or iPhone 6s ; Cannot customize Quick Action shortcuts

HTC 10

The HTC 10 is the best Android phone for audiophiles and it offers plenty for everyone else. This could be HTC's big comeback.

Awesome audio. Good-looking software. Fast performance. Attractive design.

Expensive. Wi-Fi performance is a bit slow. Some camera focus issues in low light.

Comparisons and Conclusions The HTC 10 is the best music phone on the market, and a strong performer all around. Its solid, all-metal body, quick performance, and fast fingerprint scanner make for an elegant experience. Aside from the audio quality,...

HTC 10 review: The flagship the company should have made years ago

A few days ago, I wrote about fighting the urge to be too optimistic about the 10. HTC has let me down before, after all. Despite everything, I still walked into this review with a certain set of expectations I quietly hoped the 10 would meet. And you...

HTC 10 review: It nails the fundamentals, but offers little innovation

You can get a pretty great Android phone for $400 these days. Even the Nexus 6P, with its huge AMOLED display and full metal body, is reasonably priced ($499 on Amazon). So if a phone is going to carry a big premium price like the Galaxy S7 or LG G5,...

Fantastic camera ; Great audio from speakers or headphones ; Sleek, comfortable, durable design

No new innovative major features

Looks great, sounds great, takes great photos, but it's hard to swallow a $700 price when it doesn't bring anything new and innovative to the table.

HTC 10 review

Listen up: The HTC 10 is the best-sounding phone you can buy.

The HTC 10 is an excellent phone, and it ticks off all the boxes for features you’d want on a flagship smartphone in 2016. It’s a return to form for HTC, and we’re happy to see the company back on track. It’s a difficult time for smartphone makers,...

HTC 10 review: great isn’t good enough

Contrary to popular opinion, the smartphone world has been extremely interesting over the past year or so. Not only has the bar been raised significantly in terms of what to expect from our phones...

Fast performance ; Reliable battery ; Great sound ; Good software

Boring design ; Slow camera ; High price

HTC 10 review:

If there's one thing the HTC 10 can do, it's deliver great sound. Its dual speakers, coupled with some fancy software technology, means your music and movies are going to sound fantastic. It also looks pretty damn good too -- a hard feat to pull off in...

The HTC 10 has an elegantly chiseled design, brilliant audio quality and a highly customizable user interface.

The handset's non-removeable battery doesn't last as long as its competitors and its camera doesn't always render exposure correctly.

Get the HTC 10 if you want a phone that delivers great audio. For all your other needs, look elsewhere.
