Nice toy, no more

This is a toy which looks nice but doesn't let me do the things I want to: - reply on an email via sms or vice versa? no. - the maps application is pretty unusable. Just spent an hour to find Athens International Airport in Greece. Gave up. - Battery last at most two days

HTC Desire HD review: Most wanted

Proceed with caution, big Snapdroids ahead. We guess that sign is due wherever someone mentions Desire HD. It's big and bad and it takes no prisoners. HTC certainly took their time with releasing a badass Android handset on our side of the pond but ...

LCD isn’t quite as impressive as Retina or Super AMOLED (lower contrast, more reflective) ; No dedicated camera key and no lens cover ; No front facing camera ; Quite heavy at 164 g (not that we mind) ; The two lids at the rear have questionable...

The HTC Desire HD is not in the mood to fool around – it has to be the biggest screen, the fastest processor, the latest software on the block.

HTC Desire HD review

Did you know that the word "jumbo" originated from the name of an African elephant famed for being the largest of his kind? HTC will be well familiar with that tag having already rattled off the HD2, EVO 4G, and HD7 in a smartphone-dwarfing 4.3-inch...

Terrific general performance ; Flawless browser ; Aluminum unibody plus jumbo screen

Fit and finish issues ; Poor battery life ; Camera lens left unprotected

HTC Desire HD Review

Announced back in September of last year, the Desire HD still is the top tier Android device by HTC

Sure the Desire HD has been out in the wild since last October, but that doesn’t mean this beast has aged. Its quite the opposite in fact, and in a world which looks set to be dominated by devices running multiple cores, the Desire HD manages to hold...

HTC Desire HD Review

The HTC Desire HD was announced back in September, and when it was announced it had a range of impressive specifications and features. It comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, and the model we tested is the UK version.

The Desire HD is a great Android smartphone, probably one of the best we have tested to date. The HTC Sense UI makes it a pleasure to use, and everything seems to work well and flow together.

Big, gorgeous screen ; Impeccable hardware quality and design ; A camera that you won’t be embarrassed to use

In the end, the Desire HD is arguably the best Android phone made this year, and if like me you’re willing to accept the Desire HD’s faults, you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful smartphone experience.
