HTC Touch Diamond 2 Mobile Phone

The Diamond 2 has plenty to offer besides speed, but also has a few shortcomings.

HTC Touch Diamond

The Touch brand from the HTC stable has certainly evolved. From the Touch to the Dual and now the Touch Diamond, it feels like a planned strategy. All these phones were launched in a short span of time, while adopting significant design and...

The phone looks and feels good, and the new TouchFLO is impressive. Some serious effort has gone into making the handset more user-friendly, and there's a better-looking UI to boot. Inclusion of Wi-Fi is a plus, and the decent 3.2 MP autofocus camera...

HTC Touch Diamond (Verizon Wireless)

The HTC Touch Diamond for Verizon includes an expansion slot and supports VZ Navigator, Visual Voice Mail, and the carrier's EV-DO Rev. A network. The Windows Mobile smartphone also has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

It's too expensive. The smartphone is also slow.

Slow and expensive; you can find better touch-screen alternatives to the Verizon HTC Touch Diamond.

HTC Touch Diamond

With a chiseled black case and stunning 2.8-inch touchscreen, the HTC Touch diamond is one the sharpest smartphones we've laid eyes on recently, both literally and figuratively. Unfortunately, HTC's glossy TouchFLO interface slapped over the tired old...

Fashionable exterior; ultra-sharp display; quality camera; attractive interface

Very slow performance; dated menus under TouchFLO; interface requires stylus to work properly

we have very few complaints about the outside of the Diamond Touch, and wish the software inside could live up to its promise.

HTC Touch Diamond (Sprint)

The HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint showed up a little early to the CTIA Fall 2008 party, after a certain news outlet leaked the information prematurely. However, our concern wasn't so much over the broken news but, rather, would Sprint's version be...

The HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint offers better performance and supports Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A network and multimedia services. The Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone also features the cool TouchFlo interface and has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS

While performance is greatly improved over the unlocked Touch Diamond, there's still some sluggishness. The virtual keyboard is cramped and may give some users problems. The Touch Diamond also doesn't offer an expansion slot

The HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint brings some nice additions and improvements over the unlocked GSM version--most notably to performance. It's best suited for first-time smartphone buyers or light users, while business customers should wait for the...

Touch Diamond

HTC's Touch Diamond ($350 with a two-year contract) is a well-designed Windows Mobile smart phone whose compact, candy-bar design widens its appeal.

Good call quality Excellent documentation

Occasionally sluggish interface Small keyboard

It may not fully quench your iPhone lust, but the HTC Touch Diamond is certainly worth a look. Though I ran into a few annoyances (such as occasional sluggish performance), my experience overall with the Touch Diamond was positive

HTC Touch Diamond review: Geek's best friend

We called it a game for the Diamond and Omnia but the crowd is still on their feet, so there we go with the HTC Diamond's lap of honor. The latest HTC squad member, HTC Touch Diamond, might as well be starting a new era for Microsoft OS-powered...

HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia: Head-to-Head

It's PocketPC playoffs and HTC are giving Samsung a match at the GSM Arena. With two of the stars of the season arriving in our office all at once, we thought it's a heck of an opportunity for some Diamond-Omnia-Diamond-Omnia-Diamond-Omnia...

It's been a year now since Apple iPhone is out and its ground-breaking user interface took the industry by a storm. Windows Mobile however still fails to pick up the gauntlet thrown by the iPhone so device manufacturers are creating their own...

HTC Touch Diamond

We don't envy the HTC Touch Diamond. There's a lot of pressure on this little smartphone; HTC executive Cheng Hui-ming has called it "the most important product for HTC this year," and of course, the Touch Diamond has been compared to the Apple iPhone...

The HTC Touch Diamond has a cool 3D interface and a beautiful touch screen. The Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

The Touch Diamond is sluggish and call quality is subpar. The TouchFLO interface has a bit of a learning curve, and there's no expansion slot.

The HTC Touch Diamond offers much in the way of sex appeal and flash, and it's certainly got a formidable feature set. However, we hope HTC resolves some of the performance issues we experienced before the smartphone is released in the States.

HTC Touch Diamond Review

This luxury touchscreen phone sports an intuitive and fun touch interface, a desktop-like Web browser, and the sharpest display on the block.

Highest resolution of any touchscreen phone, Sleek overall design, Built-in accelerometer, Integrated GPS, Good Opera browser and YouTube application

Very expensive, Typing a challenge on small touchscreen, keyboard, So-so phone reception, No SD Card slot

HTC is asking a premium for this unlocked phone-$779 is a lot of money given that you could buy nearly four iPhone 3Gs for the same price. However, in return, you're getting a unique and fairly versatile device that can be used the world over for...
