HTC Evo 3D Review

First LG led the way with the Optimus 3D that quite literally, wowed us all with what they had accomplished. Other than the Optimus 2X, the Korean company didn't really have any high-end droid u

At a street price of Rs. 35,990, it’s a bit cheaper than the Optimus 3D and even though HTC’s 3D implementation is a tad better, it’s a hollow victory, overall. The whole idea of a flagship phone is that it’s supposed to define the absolute best a...

HTC EVO 3D review: An extra dimension

As 3D is taking over theaters and living rooms around the world, the craze is hitting handheld too. The next thing to shake up the business or on the way to irrelevance: geeks will geek about it either way. Now that the HTC EVO 3D has grown a GSM...

Quad-band GSM and dual/tri-band 3G support ; 14.4 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA ; 4.3" 16M-color stereoscopic capacitive LCD touchscreen of qHD resolution (540 x 960); Gorilla glass ; Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.0 ; 1.2 GHz dual...

Less than impressive screen performance outdoors ; Speed and productivity not on par with other dual-cores ; Rather heavy ; Low resolution 3D stills ; The two cameras are too far apart for good stereoscopic close-ups

The best part is the HTC EVO 3D, like the LG Optimus 3D, is not placing all its chips on the stereoscopic screen and pair of cameras. No sir, each of those smartphones claims to have the best there is for power and speed. We are talking mighty...

HTC EVO 3D vs. HTC Sensation 4G: Head to head

The HTC power duo which includes the Sensation 4G and the EVO 3D barely needs an introduction. The dual-core phones are among the most powerful Android handsets available for sale in the United States and are favorites of both the consumers and the...

We got a chance to spend some time with both handsets, and decided to give them a quick head to head comparison – a battle between siblings of sort. The HTC EVO 3D and Sensation 4G share almost identical hardware and have the same qHD screen...

HTC EVO 3D

The glasses-free 3D screen is nifty, but it's the EVO 3D's dual-core performance, smart Sense software, and impressive 4G speeds that make it a winner.

It's a bit of a stretch to call the EVO 3D a breakthrough, especially since there's not a lot of premium 3D content yet. The ecosystem will need to catch up to the hardware, just as in the TV world. However, the 3D camera is a fun converstation starter...

HTC EVO 3D Is Beast of a Phone, But Camera’s a Novelty

There's no question HTC's latest EVO is a lightning-fast workhorse. The real question is: What's this 3-D thing all about?

HTC EVO 3D

I'm not sold on 3D for consumer devices, and I'm certainly skeptical of it on a smartphone-size screen. However, Sprint and HTC make a great team, so I decided to keep an open mind about the HTC EVO 3D. Did the EVO 3D change my opinion of 3D phones?...

Fast dual-core speeds ; Ultimate entertainment phone ; Gorgeous design

3D cool, but gimmicky ; Call quality uneven

Uneven call quality doesn't stop the EVO 3D from being the best phone currently available on Sprint.

HTC EVO 3D Review

The HTC EVO and its chanting followers is something we rarely see in the smartphone industry, back when it launched it had a very quick rise to fame. I mean it had that huge 4.3″ screen that made all the other phones around look tiny, it had 4G and it...

HTC has done a great job making the 3D aspect of this device only part of the package and for those that need it, it is there and easy to access with the toggle button all while flipping through pictures the phone knows when they are 3D or not. For...

HTC Evo 3D (Sprint)

We think it's pretty fair to say that the HTC Evo 4G was one of the best and most popular Android smartphones of 2010. Now, just a little over a year later, we have its successor, the HTC Evo 3D. Introduced at CTIA 2011, the Evo 3D will be available...

The HTC Evo 3D improves on its predecessor with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and a larger battery. The Android Gingerbread smartphone also features a glasses-free 3D display and can capture 3D photos and video

The smartphone doesn't offer much internal memory, and call quality could be better. The glasses-free 3D display has limited viewing angles and depth of field

The 3D features are a fun addition, but it's the HTC Evo 3D's zippy performance and improved battery life that make this Android smartphone one of Sprint's best.

HTC EVO 3D review

HTC's EVO 4G legacy is something of a rarity in the smartphone industry. Sprint used it as a gateway drug for its WiMAX service — "4G" back when that nomenclature meant something (and was used to great effect in a huge marketing...

Sturdy design ; Fast hardware ; 3D optional (but does work!)

Small viewing angles for 3D ; Some nasty software glitches ; Symptoms of 3D can include dizziness, eye strain, nausea

Is this phone good because of 3D or in spite of it? Well, neither, actually

The first time we saw the rumored Supersonic we were blown away. HTC and Google had just wowed us with the Nexus One, and here we were looking at

Snappy dual-core performance ; Eye-friendly qHD resolution ; Fantastic camera button

Poor battery life ; Too many camera compromises ; Display could be higher quality
