O2 Xphone II

Unlike the XDA IIs, whose primary function is that of a handheld computer, the Xphone II runs Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Smartphone, which means it's a souped-up phone, that is, it is skewed towards being a better, more functional phone,...

The Xphone II also doesn’t sacrifice size to get all these features – it's really about the same size as most phones out there but with a bigger and higher resolution screen than most.

I-mate SP3i

A decent phone, well-priced, has all the features of a windows enabled phone, great sound, navigation features are mind blowing and a great display. Only the picture quality is not as great as other phones in its category.

This is one of the best windows enabled phones i have ever come across. Light weight, large screen and convenient to hold

No integrated wi-fi and only a limited number of contact storage space

I-mate SP3i

As I expect this phone is no longer available, the purpose of this review is to warn anyone thinking of buying an i-mate phone to carefully check the service arrangements. A part of the case of mine cracked when it was dropped and can't be clipped back...

Plenty of features

Woeful service

I was scared about this cell, so many negative comments about joystick and soft keys... but, none of them with mine.

Light weight, online support, huge screen, many apps

microsoft office

Joystick is the main reason I want to sell off this phone. Every time I use it I get in wrong menu. The menu is far from being logical.

Big display

You can't manage the menu with this small joystick

The phone only lasted 11 days. It appears there is no tech support at iMate. I contacted them via email, the only option, they suggested a cold restart. That did not work and they have not reponded to any of my followup emails. Looks like once they get...

Nice little phone

Only worked 11 days

O2 Xphone II

At 107.5 x 44.5 x 18mm and weighing only 102g, the Xphone II is much sleeker and slimmer than its predecessor. It's a small tri-band smartphone that i...

Size, weight and form factor. Small device packed with features

Slow boot-up time, VGA camera only, memory card swapping

The Xphone II bundles lots of features into a compact, sleek design. It would suit phone users needing basic organiser capabilities, but those wanting more comprehensive PDA features should stick to the Xda range.

O2 Xphone II

O2's Xphone II is finally here, but is it really a smart phone or just a small, dumbed-down PC that can make calls?

Large, bright colour display ; Compact & classy ; Sophisticated features ; Camera, video, MP3 ; Memory expansion slot

Slow menu navigation ; Low speaker volume ; Occasional glitches ; Lack of function shortcuts

Expert review by:

O2 Xphone II

This souped-up Xphone offers a plethora of features for both busy professionals and multimedia enthusiasts in a dense package.

Triband ; compact and sleek design ; large 2.2-inch TFT ; good connectivity ; improved battery runtime and speed

Removable media not hot-swappable ; lacks MP3 ringtone support
