Best looking Android phone so far

Great phone that is good looking and performs fast. Really enjoy the 512 MB ROM memory capacity. The aluminium case gives it a solid feel. The touch screen is super sensitive (in a positive way). As on many other smartphones, the battery capacity is a joke. Be prepared to bring your charger wherever you go.

Poor battery life

The HTC Legend is going to be a hard to beat handset for the price.

HTC Legend (silver)

If you couldn't tell, we were a little smitten with the HTC Legend when we saw the Android smartphone debut at Mobile World Congress 2010 , so you can imagine our delight when the device landed in our office just a few days ago. As the successor to the...

The HTC Legend boasts a beautiful design with an AMOLED touch screen. The Android 2.1 smartphone adds a faster processor, more RAM, and a camera flash. HTC Sense features new and useful enhancements.

The Legend isn't compatible with North American 3G bands. Camera quality is mixed.

With its design improvements and feature enhancements, the HTC Legend is a worthy upgrade from the Hero and one of the most solid and well-built Android phones we've seen in its class. We can only hope that a North American version is released soon.

HTC Legend review: A Hero becomes a Legend

It took a little Magic and a Dream but Android eventually got a Hero to champion the OS. Now, the HTC Legend comes in an aluminum suit of armor to join the ranks of the Android army. So, is this knight in shining armor set to be the vanguard of the...

Aluminum unibody design ; Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; 3G with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps ; Android OS v2.1 with latest Sense UI ; 3.2" capacitive AMOLED touchscreen of HVGA resolution ; Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz CPU, 384 MB RAM ; 5 megapixel...

No video-call camera (or videocalling whatsoever) ; No dedicated shutter key or lens cover ; No TV-out port ; No voice dialing ; No DivX or XviD video support out of the box ; Dodgy flash video support

The HTC Legend borrows a page from high-end laptop design – the aluminum unibody. The unibody design was touted as a game-changing breakthrough when it hit the laptop market. A lot of that was marketing hype, but the fact is that unibody metal designs...

HTC Legend review

We did little to disguise how impressed we were with the HTC Hero when we reviewed it all the way back in July 2009. At the time we suggested it was the device with which Android came of age; since then, of course, we've seen a huge growth both in the...

Nonetheless, even if it remained as it is today, the HTC Legend is an impressive device. It no longer occupies the top-spot in HTC’s Android range – the imminent Desire will take that position – but it’s arguably more attractive and pocket-friendly...

HTC Legend hands-on

we're complete HTC fanboys here today at MWC. But c'mon, can you really blame us? Today's HTC launch -- including the HD mini, Legend, and Desire -- while not surprisingly lacking a Windows Phone 7 announcement, was still full of some very, very fine...

HTC Legend Review

Coincidentally or not, HTC introduced Legend in Barcelona in February this year, on the very day the company won a prestigious award for Hero. Legend was introduced into European market in a mere three months, and its arrival to the US market is...

Display sharpness and precision ; Sense UI user interface ; Flash support ; Robust build

Poor visibility in direct sunlight ; Button placement ; Battery life

The average smartphone user will notice the handset's exquisite speed, its clear and precise display, fine-grained control of data traffic, as well as one of the most powerful mobile web browsers

Quick review: HTC Legend

Overall, the Legend feels snappier in performance than the Hero, even with the latest firmware update, and this maybe due to a slightly faster processor (600MHz vs 528MHz), with an increased amount of RAM (384MB vs 288MB). The Legend also runs the...

One thing that annoys me about that is that the phone appears to have their branding on it. Totally annoys the hell out of me. Want to remove it but I would most likely have to flash it
