HTC SMT5800 ( Verizon Wireless)

We've been waiting for this petite but powerful smartphone to land at a U.S. carrier for a while, and the time is finally here. The Verizon Wireless SMT5800 is a CDMA variant of the GSM HTC Vox . On the inside, it's your standard Windows Mobile 6...

The Verizon Wireless SMT5800 features a compact design that squeezes in a full QWERTY keyboard. The Windows Mobile 6 smartphone also offers EV-DO; Bluetooth; a 2-megapixel camera; and push e-mail capabilities.

The SMT5800's navigation controls and dialpad are a bit cramped. Performance can get sluggish at times, and there's no support for Verizon's V Cast services or Windows Live integration.

The Verizon Wireless SMT5800 is a sleek and powerful Windows Mobile smartphone for mobile professionals who want to mange their e-mail on the go.

Verizon SMT5800 Cell Phone Review

The SMT5800 is a Windows Mobile Standard smart phone that has a nifty feature, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Unlike many phones with such slide-out keyboards, however, the SMT5800 retains a standard keypad for easy dialing. The phone is well built,...

Verizon SMT5800 Cell Phone Review - Manufacturer - Reviews - WirelessInfo.com - Cell Phone Reviews and Wireless Plan Ratings

The SMT5800 looks like a typical Windows Mobile candybar phone at first glance, but it hides a slide-out keyboard for those who love to text or email. In all other respects the SMT5800 will bring all the good, and bad, that you would expect from...

The SMT5800 is a great little device that suffers from a fatal flaw. If it even had average battery life, then it'd be a nicer-looking version of the Palm Centro or Motorola Q 9m, which puts the burden of judging value square on the shoulders of the...

Review: HTC SMT-5800

The HTC SMT-5800 loses the bulk of other HTC models, but also sheds some usability. See what works and what doesn't.

"Not a good phone at all."

It has a qwerty keyboard

The phone software lags and is poorly designed. Buttons require extra pressure after only a few weeks, and some quit working after a few months

Very satisfied with this phone

I've had this phone for over a year now and I have been extremely happy with its performance. I use the phone everyday and have only one gripe; If my device is "locked" and I slide out the keyboard it will often lockup the phone and I have to remove...

Sleek; easy to use; screen is very easy to read (when not in the sun); QWERTY keyboard; Windows Mobile; very good sound quality

Direct sunlight makes the screen hard to read; no wi-fi capability

Pretty Great

I've had the phone for two months with no major problems. Overall, I've had a really great experience and the few annoyances are pretty minor. The main reason I got the phone is for the keyboard, and texting is a breeze so I'm pretty happy with that....

Great slide-out QWERTY keyboard, good battery life (several days in my experience), easy setup for email, good web browsing capabilities, easily syncs files with computer, charges with mini USB so you're not tied to a proprietary charger

There's no earphone jack--you have to use the clunky adapter that comes with it. Like most cellphones, the camera sucks. The phone froze once and I had to completely remove the battery to get it to restart

didn't like it at first, but getting used to it!

I like to text, so the keyboard is really nice. It is easy to navigate and the keys are spaced nicely. Once you get used to scrolling through the functions, it is a nice phone. I don't use the internet portion much, but works well when I do

Hate the fact that secondary functions like punctuation, etc, are in red. For people like me who need/but don't always need glasses for reading, they are very fuzzy looking. White would have been a better choice
