HTC Titan (AT&T)

One of the best weapons in Windows Phone's arsenal is a well-designed phone, which is why I'm happy that HTC is along for the ride. HTC has a history of beautifully designed phones that are exceedingly polished with a premium feel, and I think the HTC...

The HTC Titan has a premium and polished design coupled with a colorful and vibrant display. It ships with the latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS, and has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, an 8-megapixel camera that takes great pictures, and a front-facing...

The HTC Titan could be a little too large for small hands, and it doesn't offer expandable memory. We expected better call quality as well

The HTC Titan's big and beautiful design and impressive features make it one of the better Windows Phone offerings on AT&T.

HTC Titan review: Huge is the new big

One big scary smartphone, the HTC Titan. Visible from space. Oh well, a little exaggeration won't hurt. But as far as we can tell, they certainly wanted it big enough to see from Finland. Microsoft have a thing going on up north that they want to...

Massive 4.7" 16M-color S-LCD capacitive touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels) ; Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; Dual-band 3G with HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps ; Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS ; 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU,...

A bit on the gigantic side ; Screen size stretches the resolution a little thin ; Non-expandable storage ; No mass storage ; Zune only file management and sync ; No Flash (nor Silverlight) support in the browser ; No native video calls ; No DivX/XviD...

Microsoft have a thing going on up north that they want to explore. But old-time partners HTC won't take the cold shoulder. They are honoring their part of the agreement and making a big statement

HTC Titan

We knew as soon as we first clapped eyes on this hulk of a phone that it'd make a brave purchase. It's not just the 4.7-inch screen that requires a leap of faith, but also the Windows Phone operating system, which is presented here in all its Mangofied...

Big display is a good match for this OS ; Touchscreen keyboard makes typing painless ; Build quality is almost perfect ; Brilliant camera for both stills and video

Usable storage maxes out at 12.6GB ; WP 7.5 still has a few bugs and a shortage of apps

This phone is not for the faint-hearted, but its build quality, screen size and camera make it the best Windows Phone on the market -- at least for now.

HTC Titan Review

Rarely does a gadget's name quite so well describe its nature, as is the case with the HTC Titan. A huge 4.7-inch display packed into a battleship-strong metal chassis, the TItan is an unapologetic slab of Windows Phone 7. Question is, can Mango...

Those willing to grapple with the Titan, however, will find plenty to like. Build quality is second to none, the display delivers for multimedia and the camera is certainly one of HTC’s best. Windows Phone, meanwhile, remains the smartphone wildcard,...

HTC Titan review

The HTC Titan is exactly the sort of Windows Phone Microsoft wants to see from its hardware partners. It's a big and beautiful slab of technology that invites great debate while still conforming to the chassis specs coming out of...

Superb screen and robust build ; Snappy performance ; WP7.5 gets all the basics right

Low pixel density ; Size makes for awkward handling ; Marketplace lacks the app diversity of iOS and Android

Only a limited demographic, likely dominated by professional basketball players, will find this smartphone a perfect fit

HTC Titan and HTC Radar hands-on: HTC media event

HTC's pre-IFA event was (as suspected) all about Windows Phone 7 Mango. HTC had a lot to say about the new version of the OS and what they've added to it, but also showcased two new phones - the 4.7" monster called HTC Titan and the smaller Radar......

We'll get to retelling what HTC told us about Mango, but first we'll focus on the two stars of tonight's event - the first two WP7 phones with Mango to go official

HTC Titan (AT&T)

The HTC Titan is a quad-band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and tri-band HSPA+ 14.4 (850/1900/2100 MHz) device with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. This phone is 3G, not 4G despite AT&T's claims; expect download speeds averaging 2-3Mbps.

Massive screen is great for video. Solid construction. Fast

Muted voice quality. Low-res screen. Still needs more apps. Not 4G

The HTC Titan is one of the best Windows Phone 7.5 devices out there, but at this size and price, we'd like to see a higher-res screen and LTE.

Truly having a gargantuan presence behind it, thanks to its insanely large 4.7” display, the HTC Titan as its name implies intends on being a prominent figure amongst the recent crop of Windows Phone Mango smartphones...

HTC Titan Windows Phone Review

HTC's Titan, powered by Windows Phone 7.5, was released at the end of 2011 and today we give it a once over to find out what it offers for those looking for something a little different to Android and iOS.

Starting, as always, with build quality and design the HTC Titan is solidly made with an aluminium back plate and responsive buttons which feel built to last. The screen offers excellent levels of clarity with great viewing angles and the hardware...

Review: HTC Titan Windows Phone with Mango

HTC's Titan is an amazing entry for its line of Windows Phone 7 Mango smartphones. This Microsoft-powered handset offers a brilliant display, good looks, and solid performance. Here's Phone Scoop's full review.

The HTC Titan is the king of the Windows Phone 7 Mango hill at the moment. It offers an excellent array of features, all-around good performance, and a few items that set it ahead of the pack. For example, the industry-leading 4.7-inch display is...
