HTC U11+ review

HTC U11+ could have been the next big Pixel, but it just wasn't meant to be. Instead, it became the next squeezable HTC flagship fully equipped to compete with Google's XL sequel. Underdog or not, the HTC U11+ has the dog tags of a fighter.

HTC U11 Plus review: when more is less

We review the HTC U11 Plus, the phone that was once intended to become the Google Pixel 2 XL

Only camera that can rival the Pixel ; HTC’s smallest bezels in years ; Big battery ; Smooth performance ; Good speakers

Inelegant, chunky design ; Slippery to grip ; Display lacks color accuracy ; Battery doesn’t last that much longer in actual use ; Ugly and intrusive bloatware

Be careful what you wish for

HTC U11 Plus Smartphone Review

Trending. The HTC U11 Plus emerges about a year after the U11 and offers very similar specs. It comes with more storage space, and the new Super LCD display now has a trendy 2:1 aspect ratio. Moreover, the battery also gets a significant bump. You can...

fast SoC ; great camera ; accurate geolocation ; expandable storage ; dual SIM ; fast USB that can be used to connect an external display ; great headphones in the box ; good speakers ; water- and dust-proof

display is too dim ; camera app doesn't offer many options ; average Micro SD speeds ; only LTE category 15

With the U11 Plus, HTC stays true to its design. Nevertheless, it gives the new flagship device a smaller color palette than the U11. HTC does a lot right with its latest flagship and again relies on the tried and true staples that we already saw in...

HTC U11+ Review

Equipped with the Snapdragon 835 chip and the clean HTC Sense interface, the U11+ comes with the promise of speed. It also has the great camera of the HTC U11 and marks the company's first foray into edge-to-edge screens...

Very good camera ; Plentiful 128GB of storage ; Very good loudspeaker ; Great sound recording

Screen is hard to see outdoors ; Interface seems outdated and lacking visual polish ; Average battery life ; Lacking extras like dual cameras or Portrait Mode

HTC U11+ review: 6-inch screen, large battery, good waterproofing

HTC now has three handsets in its U11 range: the original 5.5-inch HTC U11 , which we liked a lot, the affordable 5.2-inch HTC U11 Life , and the top-end 6-inch HTC U11+ . Does this latest flagship model offer enough to justify its hefty price tag?

Dual SIM ; 128GB storage plus MicroSD card slot ; Bundled USB-C headphones and 3.5mm converter ; Android 8.0 with HTC Sense ; Some handy squeeze controls

Screen could be more vibrant ; Shiny, slippery backplate ; Relatively expensive

HTC U11+ review: Insider's phone gets an upgrade

In November 2017 HTC presented the exciting HTC U11+ alongside the U11 Life. After a short delay, the phablet has finally gone into series production, so we were able to take a closer look at the 6-inch smartphone, which was originally planned as the...

Very good battery life ; Elegant and high-quality design ; Dual SIM ; IP68 certified

---

With the U11+, HTC has created a smartphone that is absolutely at the same level as the Samsung Galaxy S8+, Google Pixel 2 XL or Huawei Mate 10 Pro. If you also account for the small but useful features in the U11+, such as the dual SIM, memory...

HTC U11+ review

HTC U11+ (Plus) review: Is it worth the upgrade?

Great screen ; Good camera ; Large battery ; Runs latest Android version

Uses last year's parts ; Only a minor upgrade on the regular U11

Battery life is the second area in which the U11+ seriously improves on the U11. HTC’s upped the U11+’s battery capacity to 3930mAh, which is a marked improvement on the original’s 3000mAh cell.

HTC U11+ review

The squeezy phone is back with a bigger screen and bumper battery

Excellent camera ; Already gorgeous design updated with 18:9 screen ; Great performance & battery life

Screen could be brighter ; No headphone port ; Not sold through UK networks, high SIM-free price

Probably the best phone HTC has made in years, but it’s arriving just a little too late

HTC U11 Plus review

HTC gives its U11 phone the ultra-widescreen treatment

Great photo quality ; Decent speakers ; Smart, high-quality build

No headphone jack ; Camera shutter lag ; No depth of field effect

The HTC U11 Plus doesn't offer that much more than some phones released almost a year earlier. However, solid battery life, a slim screen surround and a great - if slightly slow - camera see it through.

HTC U11 is a cheaper HTC U12 Plus alternative

HTC's U11 might be a year old, but it's still a solid phone for buyers who want a taste of HTC's squeezable sides.

The HTC U11 gives you excellent performance, a gorgeous design, water resistance and a big-screen for much less than the HTC U12 Plus.

The HTC U11’s squeezable sides feel more gimmicky than novel, as does HTC's virtual assistant. The stunning glass rear is prone to smudging, and the battery felt very thirsty.

For a stylish design and solid performance, the HTC U11 is a discount over the U12 Plus, though power users will be drawn to the U12 Plus' more robust squeezing features.
