HTC Windows Phone 8X for Verizon: what's different?

We've seen HTC's Windows Phone 8X in many colors and also many carrier variants -- it's already made its way to AT&T and T-Mobile in the US, and many

Built-in wireless charging ; Unlocked quad-band HSPA+ radios ; Best-designed WP8 phone on Verizon ; Beautiful display

A little pricey ; Bing is the only search engine offered on the browser

This is the best Windows Phone 8 device offered on Verizon, but you'll need to swallow a premium cost to get it.

HTC Windows Phone 8X for T-Mobile: what's different?

You've seen it twice before and you're bound to see it two more times yet. It's the Windows Phone 8X by HTC, Microsoft's signature ambassador to all

Exquisite design ; Compact package ; Gorgeous display

Weak app ecosystem ; AT&T's model offers LTE for the same price

HTC's 8X is the better WP8 buy on T-Mobile. But at a relatively high $199 on-contract price, it can't outcompete AT&T's Lumia 920.

HTC Windows Phone 8X for AT&T: what's different?

We recently reviewed the global (HSPA+) version of HTC's Windows Phone 8X, the first handset to cross our desks running Microsoft's newly minted mobile

Exquisite, compact design ; Excellent performance and display ; LTE support

Weak app ecosystem ; 100 only offers 8GB of storage

The HTC 8X is a fantastic ambassador to WP8 but needs a stronger app ecosystem. AT&T's model offers less storage for the money than the competition.

HTC Windows Phone 8X review: Signed and sealed

So, it's all but settled that Windows Phone 8 is the biggest thing to happen to smartphones this year. But are the handful of flagships carrying it the best thing that could happen to users?

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; Quad-band 3G with 42 Mbps HSDPA and 5.7 Mbps HSUPA support ; 4.3" 16M-color S-LCD2 capacitive touchscreen of 720 x 1280 pixel resolution ; Scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 2 display ; 8 megapixel autofocus camera with...

Too much bezel offsets smaller screen ; No microSD card slot, just one storage option ; Non user-replaceable battery ; App catalog falls short of Android and iOS ; Competition has quad-core Krait CPUs already ; No system-wide file manager ; No...

HTC has seen better days in the smartphone market - we know this doesn't sound too good but somehow it has little to do with the quality of its devices. The company had solid offerings in the One X and the One S but it seems Samsung is better at making...

HTC 8X review: Windows Phone 8's compact flagship

More Info Windows Phone 8X by HTC: 4.3-inch 720p display, LTE, dual-core S4, available this November Windows Phone 8X by HTC hands-on:

Exquisite design ; Compact package ; Excellent performance ; Gorgeous display

Weak app ecosystem ; Basic camera interface

The HTC 8X is a fantastic ambassador to Windows Phone 8, but we're longing for a similar phone running Android -- at least until a stronger app ecosystem develops.

HTC Windows Phone 8X and 8S hands-on: First look

HTC just unveiled the two latest additions to its lineup of smartphones. Called HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S, the devices are unsurprisingly powered by the latest version of the Microsoft WP platform.

HTC Windows Phone 8X: What a Windows phone should be

HTC's Windows Phone 8X makes a compelling argument for dissatisfied Android and iOS owners to switch to the Windows Phone OS, thanks to edgy looks and high-flying hardware specs.

The ; edgy design joins forces with a top-of-the-line processor, LTE speeds, and great call quality.

This phone's 8-megapixel camera took a few poor pictures, the buttons are too flush, and the OS lacks some key apps.

With top specs and a striking design, HTC's Windows Phone 8X makes a smart choice for anyone ready to dive into the Windows Phone OS.

HTC Windows Phone 8X (Verizon Wireless)

The HTC 8X is a great-looking, elegant way to get Windows Phone 8 on Verizon's network.

Beautiful design. World phone. Powerful audio through headphones. Wireless charging.

No removable memory. Windows Phone still has fewer apps than Android or iOS.

Conclusions At $199, the Windows Phone 8X costs $100 more than the Nokia Lumia 822. You gain screen resolution, better sound, and a higher-quality body; you lose the memory card slot, removable battery, and some screen brightness. I'd pick the 8X...

HTC Windows Phone 8X (T-Mobile)

The HTC 8X is the best-looking Windows Phone 8 handset on T-Mobile, but you'll pay extra for the design.

Beautiful design. Fast Internet speeds. Powerful audio through headphones.

No removable memory. Can't use T-Mobile's Wi-Fi Calling feature. Windows Phone still has fewer apps than Android or iOS.

Conclusions I like the Windows Phone 8X a lot more than the Lumia 810, because I think it's gorgeous, and I appreciate the fast Internet connection and high-res screen. But you might prefer the Lumia 810 if you want voice-guided driving directions or...

HTC Windows Phone 8X (AT&T)

The HTC 8X is a powerful Windows 8 Phone in a slim, pocket-friendly form factor.

Excellent balance of size and power. Great design. Sharp screen. Killer Beats Audio.

Photos are a bit washed out. Lacks high-quality free navigation apps.
