Huawei U8510 Ideos X3 Review

The fact that you can buy this phone for around Rs 9000, it is competing straight with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Y and the LG Optimus Net P690. What it doesnt have is the big brand name, but does make up for that with a bit of bravery. The...

Huawei IDEOS X3 review: An Android smartphone for $99. What's the catch?

The Huawei IDEOS X3 naturally makes plenty of compromises to deliver on its $99 price. The screen feels sticky to swipe and isn't always smooth, the glossy coating makes it reflective under light and the keyboard is tiny. Despite these limitations the...

Huawei Ideos X3

Huawei puts forward a very respectable low-end device in the Ideos X3, but its nearest competitors have a couple of extra features worth considering.

Front-facing camera ; Interesting user interface ; Overall great performance

No LED flash ; Mediocre touch response

At AU$89, the X3 is a steal, though network locked, but for about AU$50 more, you can also choose the HTC Wildfire S, with a better camera (with a flash), better UI and better battery life. We found no real flaws with the Ideos X3, but, in this price...
