Huawei P9 Plus Smartphone Review

Is everything better with the Plus? The new P9 Plus from Huawei is not just a bigger version of the standard P9, the display differs completely from the smaller sibling as well. The Press Touch feature is also reserved for the Plus model.

fast SoC, expandable storage, wide range of frequencies, good cameras, voice quality, provided headset, quick-charge, USB Type-C, very good battery runtimes, Press Touch, Infrared, cover included, 3-year warranty, good speakers

only USB 2.0, only LTE Cat. 6, neither MHL nor SlimPort, slight SoC throttling under sustained load, no 4K video recordings, no FM radio, expensive

The Huawei P9 Plus is not just a bigger version of the standard P9. The manufacturer not only equips the Plus model with a bigger screen and a larger battery but also implements several additional features and even uses a completely different display...

Huawei P9 Plus review

The Huawei P9 Plus offers some extras not found in the P9 including a 5.5 inch AMOLED display, Press Touch and an IR blaster. Is this Huawei's best smartphone? Let's find out in our in-depth review.

Good camera ; Pressure sensitive display ; Nice design ; Fast fingerprint reader ; Build quality ; microSD expansion ; IR blaster

Emotion UI might not be for everyone ; Lack of OIS ; No 4K video

The Huawei P9 Plus certainly offers a lot. It's thin, has a great battery, plus a nice 5.5 inch display. The processor package performs well and the 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage is nice to have. The real selling point is the camera and it...

Hands on: Huawei P9 Plus review

2015 was a dizzying year for Huawei, launching its European store and rising among the top three smartphone manufacturers. The Huawei P9 Plus is tasked with maintaining this prestige, following the fall of LG, Sony and HTC. It is a direct competitor to...

The P9 Plus is a stylish smartphone that could, together with the standard P9, provide the best camera on the market. It’s clear what Huawei needs to do make a truly excellent device. Unfortunately, the P9 falls short for me. The white ceramic produces...

Huawei P9 Plus review: The big and the bold

Huawei is fast emerging as one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world. A lot of that notability is thanks to its budget sub-brand, Honor, which cranks out affordable but high quality phones. Still, Huawei has done a lot of work on its...

Fantastic battery life, fluid and fast performance, quick charging support shaves considerable plug-in time, decent camera system

Some parts of software still counter-intuitive, metal casing is shiny and slippery, huge fingerprint magnet

So P9 or P9 Plus? Well, the Plus offers a slightly larger screen with "Press Touch" technology, plus better battery life and 64GB on-board storage for its £500 asking price (making it about £100 more than the standard P9).

Huawei P9 Plus review

The pressure's on

A phone that looks, feels, and is expensive, the Huawei P9 Plus has a generous dollop of luxury to it. Thanks to very solid battery life it's easy to live with too. However, at this price you can pick almost any phone you like, and we're not convinced...

Huawei P9 Plus preview: Huawei's true P series flagship - Pocket-lint

Huawei has a new champion and it's the P9 Plus. Launched alongside a "regular" P9, it's the bigger of the two devices that might turn more heads. The Huawei

The Huawei P9 Plus offers elements above and beyond the regular model and that should give it some additional appeal. This is a fully-packed handset, carrying the novelty of that dual Leica camera on the rear.

Huawei P9 Plus

After the success of the Nexus 6P, Huawei continued its impressive run with the P9. While its Leica branding was more of a gimmick, the P9 was a great phone capable of rivalling the HTC 10, Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5.

Huawei P9 Plus review

Double the cameras, double the fun - and it'll feel the pressure (-sensitive screen) too

Clever, capable cameras ; Fast fingerprint sensor ; Top-notch screen with Press Touch

Pressure-sensitive screen doesn't have a lot of uses ; You'll need flagship funds to buy one

The P9 was decent, but the P9 Plus goes one better with that gorgeous AMOLED screen and Press Touch - it's just a shame about that eye-watering price

Huawei P9 Plus hands-on review

Can Huawei take on the Galaxy S7 edge and iPhone 6S Plus? With the help of Leica it hopes the Huawei P9 Plus can do the job and here's our first look at the 2016 flagship phone.

If a bigger screen with Press Touch and a bigger battery is what you’re looking for then the Huawei P9 Plus might be a good shout. However, it is otherwise very similar to the regular model so isn’t necessarily worth the addition 150 Euro – the main...

Huawei P9 Plus Review: In Depth

Huawei P9 Plus Review: We test out this 5.5-inch version of the original Huawei P9 & decide if the P9 Plus can stand up to it's rival 5.5-inch mobiles.

Great battery life ; Sleek design ; Capable cameras

Pricey ; Software issues

Huawei’s P9 Plus is yet another 5.5-inch smartphone, a previously niche category that’s rapidly expanding in 2016 with the likes of the OnePlus 3 and Moto G4 handsets hitting UK shelves. Good news is, the P9 Plus more than holds its own thanks to the...
