The Imation Multi Media 2.5" Hard Disk Player scores no points for its rather dull name but thankfully regains ground in the functionality department
Testing the Imation's playback quality we found it was satisfactory when playing Standard Definition (SD) and 720p High Definition (HD) content. If you have a lot of SD content the Player offers an upscaling feature but enabling this, we found it didn ...

Samsung's SGH-D980 is designed for users who need a dual-sim touchscreen smartphone. Is it any good?
The phone sports 40Mbytes of internal memory for photos etc but if you want to add more, you can do so via a microSD card. In the connectivity department, the phone features EDGE support but sadly lacks 3G and WiFi capabilities. These are surprising ...

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 is RIM's top, keyboard-based smartphone and is designed primarily for business users
In terms of battery life the Bold proved average. Using only data services (BlackBerry chat, GPS, instant messaging, e-mailing) intermittently via its 3G network adapter, the phone's battery was flat in a day and a half. Adding in voice calls, we ...

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 was recently launched in the region and targets business users. Is it the smartphone for you?
Although the Curve isn't flawless it is ultimately quite a polished business phone that offers bags of features and functionality in an easy-to-use package. Well priced too.

With the launch of the spanking new 500 series - currently comprising just the 514 - HP has bolstered its long-standing iPAQ line with a sleek business smartphone.
Great voice features, good call quality, Windows Mobile 6, HP apps, neat looks.
Low screen resolution, no 3G support.
The HP 500 is useable, business-focused and offers some truly expansive voice controls.

The Ultimate 8502 along with its more expensive brethren, the 9502 (also reviewed on ITP.net), were both released last month and after testing the two extensively, we found the lower cost i-mate was actually the better overall product.
Bright and responsive touchscreen LCD, good battery life, long WiFi range.
Laggy performance, keypad is difficult to use if you've got chubby fingers.
Long battery life and superb WiFi range are the 8502's strongest positives. It also packs a great LCD screen. In the end, this i-mate only struggles because of its laggy performance and keypad.

The Touch Cruise is HTC's latest release in the region and is more of a PDA than a smartphone, as is evident by the lack of a keypad.
Interface looks great and is intuitive to use, quick performer, good battery life, control wheel works well.
Lacks a flash for its camera, body retains fingerprints.
Overall a well-rounded device that suffers from only a few setbacks. Look past these however and you'll find the Touch Cruise intuitive to use and quite well stacked in terms of features. It's not too shabby on the performance front either.

The P750 is the latest model to join Asus' smartphone lineup with the firm pitching it as a 'complete business solution'.
Attractive pricing, excels at one-handed use, keys feel great, quality LCD screen, 3.5G compatible.
Camera lacks a flash, sluggish at times.
If you're looking for a Windows Mobile 6-based device with a healthy offering of useable business and other everyday features, the P750 is worth looking into. Considering its price, its at times, sluggish performance didn't put us off in the least.

The buzz on the street about the newest Nokia Communicator is all about its OS. Nokia has dropped the S80 OS it used on previous Communicator models in favour of the popular S60 system found on most Nokia models.
Great apps, good keyboard, easy to use as a phone or an e-mail/web device
Size means you need a pouch to carry it around
A serious machine that's only good value if you use all of the features a lot.

Asus is pitching its P735 PDA as a device that caters to both business users and consumers. And while most products designed to appeal to more than one market segment usually have a number of short comings, Asus has done its homework and thus the P735 ...
Plenty of business and consumer features, decent camera, responsive performance, good battery life.
Lacks GPS, tri-band only.
While the lack of GPS works against its cause, the P735 has lots of plus points, including fast operation, top battery life and a good camera.
