Smooth and slim - but is this a case of style over substance?

Elegant design ; 5-megapixel camera ; High-speed 3G ; Good quality number pad ; Decent price

Erratic touch controls ; Lack of Wi-Fi or GPS ; Limited features ; Limited video playback ; Poor internal storage ; No MicroSD card

LG has introduced a more sweetly priced slider phone – the Chocolate BL20 – to try and tempt style-savvy phone buyers not interested in the more feature packed (but higher-priced) Chocolate BL40.

With the mobile world gripped with mini-version fever, it shouldn't have come as a surprise that LG would bring out a sister handset to the New Chocolate , but somehow it did. The new new Chocolate, or LG BL20, keeps the same colour scheme and finish...

Stunning design like the BL40 for a fraction of the cost, it also happens to fit in the pocket a lot better and has a very good camera too

Clunky software, no Wi-Fi, slightly disappointing video camera, generally feels a touch dated
