LG Cosmos 3 (Verizon Wireless)

The LG Cosmos 3 is a free keyboarded feature phone for Verizon Wireless, but it isn't worth the frustration of using it.

Free. Sharp display

Poor keypad. Lackluster camera. No video playback. Mediocre battery life

The original LG Cosmos came out over three years ago, and a lot has changed in the mobile phone world since then. But not a lot has changed on planet Cosmos, which is still up to the same old tricks in its third iteration. The free LG Cosmos 3 is...

LG Cosmos 3 ( Verizon Wireless)

Contrary to its overselling name, the LG Cosmos 3 is anything but "out of this world."

The LG Cosmos 3 from Verizon features a surprisingly sharp display, is equipped with a four-row keyboard, and it's free with a contract.

The Cosmos 3's camera doesn't have a flash and can't record video, and its Web browser is too cumbersome to even bother navigating.

Though the Cosmos 3 is free with contract, you're better off paying more for a comparable handset, like the Samsung Intensity III.

LG Cosmos ( Verizon Wireless)

LG's messaging phone offerings for Verizon Wireless continues to grow. There was the LG enV and the LG Voyager series of handsets, and at CTIA 2010, Verizon welcomed the newcomer LG Cosmos to the family. It is essentially a rejiggering of the LG Rumor...

The LG Cosmos has a solid and simple slider design with a tactile number keypad and a roomy QWERTY keyboard. You also get a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and GPS. Call quality is great as well.

The LG Cosmos lacks corporate e-mail support, and don't expect a music player or EV-DO on here.

The LG Cosmos makes a great choice for an affordable entry-level messaging phone for Verizon customers.

"Relatively heavy and not user friendly"

This phone has been very frustrating for me, since it is hard to use the higher level functions, and especially since it is difficult to pull the phone out of my pocket or bag without touching a button, which ends the call and trips an automatic...

Lots of features for an inexpensive phone

ard to answer without hitting a button that will trip an auto response and end your call

"Ages gracefully"

I have had this phone for over 2 years now, which speaks to how sturdy this bad boy is. I only use my phone for calls and texts (no data plan), so I can't speak to any of that. However, this phone has been faithful to me through the years for my basic...

Indestructible - I've dropped this phone several times and it hasn't changed the quality of calls that I've noticed

Text message layout - difficult to navigate between conversations and texts within a conversation

"Going to miss this phone"

I just lost this phone recently (dropped it in a parking lot and drove off without it, someone snagged it in the half an hour before leaving and coming back) so I didn't actually have it to the end of its lifespan. However, it will be missed. For me,...

Great battery life with decent usage

Camera was not so great, was surprised for the lack of any zoom, would turn on with the slightest tap to dedicated button

"I liked the Keyboard but this phone easily broke."

I really could care less if I get anouther Cosmos Verizon sent me the second generation and I dont like it I had it for about two months and the slider broke but that was because my friend, I would love to get a different kind of phone. Verizon said...

Good keyboard, can store a lot of pictures, and it's just a simple phone.

The first Cosmos the slider broke, and you couldn't read what was on. I had that phone for six months. The second Cosmos I have no clue what happened to it. After I turned it on for a bit it got hot and wouldn't turn on that was after four months.
