LG Escape review

The LG Escape reminds us again of LG's identity problem in the United States. And that problem is that LG doesn't really have an identity.

The LG Escape has a bright display and a sturdy, comfortable design. Trendy features like LTE support, a fast dual-core processor, and Android 4.0 make it more than just an entry-level phone.

The Escape's 5-megapixel camera produces images of poor quality and the voice command feature was uneven. The battery drains quickly and the excessive bloatware is distracting.

The LG Escape's design and features make it more than a basic Android phone, but it doesn't have the complete performance chops to match.

LG Escape (AT&T)

The LG Escape breaks free from its budget price to offer AT&T users a fast, attractive Android smartphone.

Plenty of power. Fast LTE speeds. Thin design. Attractive display.

Camera has no flash and only average performance.

The LG Escape is running Android 4.0.4 "Ice Cream Sandwich," along with LG's Optimus UI overlay. It's a fairly light skin, but it makes the phone feel a little more accessible and user-friendly than stock Android. Unfortunately, there's no word on an...

LG Escape Review

By now, we're very aware about the competitive atmosphere surrounding high-end smartphones, but interestingly enough, we're seeing a similar battle over in the entry-level market as well. Already, we've been blown away by AT&T's admirable offering with...

Affordable $50 price point ; Fast overall performance ; Above normal battery life

Washed out display ; Boring design ; Captures terrible 1080p videos

After being impressed by the Pantech Flex recently, our expectations regarding entry-level smartphones has been heightened. Well, we have to admit that LG also has a formidable model that shouldn’t be taken for granted, as it competes nearly on the...

LG Escape review

While the LG Escape isn't brand new, nor was its release back in September exactly hotly anticipated, we here at Android Central are nothing if not thorough, and we believe that everyone shoul...

In terms of bang for your buck, you can't really do much better than the LG Escape. It's got super-fast performance, blazing LTE speeds, and a style that takes its cues from LG's current superstar, the Optimus G. But at that price, LG had to make some...

LG Escape review

MicroSD installation would've made this an excellent value

Great performance ; Sharp 4.3-inch display ; Slim build feels good ; 4G LTE service is stellar ; Cheap on-contract price

Can't install apps to microSD ; Tiny internal storage ; Low-quality camera ; Glossy back feels cheap ; Heavy AT&T bloatware
