LG G Pro 2 review

Big phones are on the rise, and these days, the bigger the screen, the more people want to scoop them up. We aren't always fans of phablets here at DT, but we've long stopped complaining about them. Some of you like your phones extra large, and we're...

Powerful processor ; Gorgeous screen ; KnockOn feature works well ; Comfortable to hold for a phablet ; MicroSD support ; Good camera

It’s still massive ; Not waterproof or extra durable ; Price tag unknown ; Lacks a stylus ; No standout reason to choose it

The G Pro 2 is another great phablet from LG, and is a point-for-point draw against the Galaxy Note 3.

LG G Pro 2

Editors' note, March 13, 2014 : This review has been updated with additional data and call performance analysis.

The LG G Pro 2 packs a beautiful and large HD screen, loads of camera features, and fast performance.

The Pro 2's big size can be unwieldy and its sharp edges are uncomfortable to hold. The phone's tap-to-unlock feature (Knock Code) is useful but isn't responsive enough.

The LG G Pro 2 delivers plenty of power, a huge and lovely screen, and a feature-packed camera, but the Galaxy Note 3's stylus and superior styling give it the edge.

LG G Pro 2 - Mini Review

At MWC, LG announced their new G Pro 2, which was written up for an early hands-on and some analysis based upon the information given out by LG's press release on the device. This is definitely not a device that was unexpected either, as the Optimus G...

Simply put, I think the LG G Pro 2 is a solid evolution of the LG G2 design. While I went into the review expecting a phone that wasn’t much more than an attempt to cash in on the phablet trend, LG has definitely put in enough that I found the phone to...

LG G Pro 2 review: the evolutionary process

Iterate and update. That's the mantra of the smartphone world these days. Where radical design changes between generations of phones might have been commonplace just a year or so ago, most manufacturers are sticking with designs that work and iterating...

Great display ; Great battery life ; Improved design

Rear buttons are awkward ; Software is overbearing ; Camera is unimpressive

Despite LG's improvements, Samsung still makes the better phablet

LG G Pro 2 Review

The LG G Pro 2 is a big, 5.9-inch phablet, and the successor to the original G Pro. Equipped with a potent, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM, the G Pro 2 handles anything you throw at it with finesse. But it's the...

Relatively easy to handle ; Lightweight ; Great display ; A performance powerhouse ; Great all around camera

No stereo speakers ; Software still could use some fine-tuning

The LG G Pro 2 is a great device, full stop. It honestly feels needless to try and spin this into a spiral of accolades, as glamor for the sake of glamor doesn't seem to be the goal the LG engineers had in mind when building the phablet. Instead, the G...

The march of the phablets shows no signs of abating, and being a super-sized version of the excellent G2 makes the G Pro 2 a mighty soldier

Better grip than its predecessor Improved KnockOn feature Impressive spec and features for the expected price

Harder to reach rear buttons Lower than expected battery mileage

LG has officially released G Pro 2 smart-phone in April, 2014.The phone is powered by 4.4.2 KitKat android version with Dual-video recording. It is having 3200 mAh battery.http://tech.infopsyche.com/lg-g-pro-2/

Hands-on at MWC 2014: A phone with a Galaxy Note-grade screen

The LG G Pro 2 is basically a bigger LG G2. And many of you may prefer the slightly smaller body of that 6-month-old phone. However, if LG treats this new mobile like the G2 and tries to sell it at an aggressive price, it could be a top pick for those...

LG G Pro 2 preview

The Pro 2 is a bigger version of the impressive LG G2. It will replace the LG G Flex as the premium LG phablet, and will hopefully have a lower price point.

We expect to see the G Pro 2 on shelves by the end of April, but so far LG has been less than precise regarding release dates.
