LG G2 mini review: Big mini

With the new season well under way, the LG G2 mini is trying to have the last word in the compact class just like the original did last year at the high end. With the same design as the flagship (slim bezel, rear buttons and such) and the biggest...

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; Quad-band 3G with HSPA; Optional Penta-band LTE cat4 ; 4.7" 16M-color qHD (960 x 540) IPS LCD, Gorilla Glass 2 display protection ; Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat; LG Optimus UI ; Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, 1 GB RAM,...

Screen could've used some extra resolution at that size ; Snapdragon 400 is blatantly midrange stuff ; Below average loudspeaker performance ; No ambient light sensor ; Confusingly comes in different versions with different internal hardware

The LG G2 mini is lucky to share lots of DNA with a great smartphone - and we cannot blame LG for focusing on the outside, and going for budget-grade internals. After all, a super mini along the lines of the Xperia Z1 Compact would've been pointless...

LG G2 Mini review

The LG G2 seriously impressed the whole CNET team with its brilliant screen, its lightning fast processor and its great camera. As nearly all of its rivals have done, LG has paired its flagship with a smaller version, for those not willing to shove a...

The LG G2 Mini is more affordable than its flagship namesake, it has good battery life and a decent camera.

It has a lower resolution screen than the Motorola Moto G (which costs less than half the price) and its processor doesn't provide much power.

Although it bears the same "G2" name as its big brother, the LG G2 Mini is watered down in every respect. Its screen has a disappointingly low resolution, its processor doesn't put up much of a fight and it has an 8- rather than 13-megapixel camera....

LG G2 and MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 - Mini Review

We took a quick look at the G2 at the announcement event, now we have our hands on a G2 and have been putting it through its paces, benchmarking it, and running battery life tests on it for a little under a week and wanted to share some thoughts.

I've been using the G2 as my daily since getting it, and have been really quite impressed with the device. LG's battery size is large, and the battery life tests back up the subjectively long longevity that I've noticed. Obviously the process...

LG G2 Mini

LG G2 Mini Android smartphone : LG Electronics launches its first ever “compact” smartphone, the G2 mini, as a smaller version of the award-winning LG G2. The G2 mini will introduce most of the G2's premium UX features to a new global audience....

The LG G2 Mini also sees the continuation of the popular Plug & Pop feature from the LG G2, which automatically produces a customisable menu of apps and audio programs when earphones or a USB cable are connected; providing a seamless audio experience....

LG G2 mini Review

After Samsung and HTC, LG is hopping on the “mini” bandwagon, too. The G2 mini, however, is too radical a departure from the specs and performance of the G2, with a 4.7” 540x960 pixels display, a basic Snapdragon 400 processor, and an 8 MP camera, all...

4.7” display in a fairly palm-friendly chassis ; IR blaster lets you control the TV with your phone ; The video player runs every major format

Expensive for the specs sheet and the subpar performance ; Poor call quality ; Soft and underexposed pictures and video

So, has LG managed to make an appealing midrange proposition with the G2 mini? At the suggested 350 USD or EUR price tag we'd have to say no. What should be a scaled-down version of the excellent G2, turns out to be lacking on many important counts....

LG G2 Mini Review: The Biggest Mini Phone

The LG G2 Mini is among the biggest compact versions of a flagship on the market today. On paper, its specs have been reduced in every aspect compared to the bigger LG G2, and its display is neither as sharp nor as rich thanks to its lowered...

Supreme performance for a midrange device, Great battery life, Solid rear camera, Ergonomic design

Low display resolution, Small storage space, Huge dimensions for a “mini” flagship

LG G2 Mini Review: The Biggest Mini Phone

With a 4.7-inch display, the LG G2 mini isn't exactly diminutive, but it provides an respectable midrange package regardless. Get the full rundown in our review.

Supreme performance for a midrange device ; Great battery life ; Solid rear camera ; Ergonomic design

Low display resolution ; Small storage space ; Huge dimensions for a "mini" flagship

LG G2 Mini Quick Review

The power/home button and the volume rockers are at the back are easy to get used to. I actually found it better than the side buttons offered by most smartphones today, especially in terms of comfort. The back pattern makes it really easy to grip, and...

I could name a couple of smartphones from local brands launched recently that could definitely make me reconsider fast in buying this smartphone. But if you are a fan of “˜mini’ phones and brands like LG (plus the awesome home button and volume rocker...

LG G2 mini

Hands-on at MWC 2014: LG's not so mini 'mini' falls short of expectation

The LG G2 mini is a handset that could have, and should have wowed. Instead I’ve been left frustrated with yet another leading manufacturer that has failed to make a truly representative flagship spinoff at a size that is appealing to the masses. After...

LG G2 Mini review

The LG G2's little sibling

Amazing battery life ; Excellent build quality ; MicroSD expansion slot

Low resolution screen ; Slightly too expensive ; Some gimmicky software

With the G2 Mini, LG provides most of the experience of the G2 but in a smaller and cheaper package. It has equally amazing battery life and most of the software enhancements but sacrifices on screen quality.
