LG Lucid 2 (Verizon Wireless)

Despite its rather dull design, the LG Lucid 2 from Verizon is a reliable 4G LTE device that performs consistently well and is available for free with a contract. Aimed at first-time smartphone users, this handset includes a number of features that may...

The LG Lucid 2 comes free with a two-year contract, has wireless charging capabilities, and has an optional user interface for Android beginners.

The Lucid 2's audio speaker has poor audio quality, its video camera picks up a low buzzing sound when recording, and you'll need to buy extra accessories to enable wireless charging.

Though it has a few minor flaws, the reliable performance and rock-bottom price of Verizon's Lucid 2 will satisfy first-time smartphone users on a budget.

LG Lucid 2 (Verizon Wireless)

The LG Lucid 2 is a solid option for Verizon buyers on a budget, but it isn't quite as sweet a deal as the first time around.

Low price. Solid performance. Long battery life

Lackluster display. Finicky Bluetooth voice dialing. Mixed call quality

The Verizon LG Lucid was a solid budget smartphone that sold like gangbusters. Now, a year later, LG brings us the Lucid 2, which is bigger and better than the original in every way. It's even free this time around. But the times are a-changin', and...

LG Lucid 2 (Verizon Wireless)

Verizon's LG Lucid 2 offers fast LTE speeds, long battery life and a Starter mode that's great for first-time smartphone users.

Long battery life; Fast LTE speeds; Starter mode simplifies Android for first-time smartphone users; Excellent camera performance

Relatively dim display; Exterior becomes hot while playing games

Click to EnlargeWith its long battery life, solid performance and fast Web speeds, the Lucid 2 is a solid handset that shoppers on a budget should check out. Those dipping their toes into the smartphone market for the first time should also get some...

LG Lucid 2 Review

We spend a lot of time reviewing super fancy, high-end smartphones at DT, but for every one of those, there are half a dozen cheaper, smaller phones that just don't get noticed. But that doesn't mean they're bad – at least, not anymore. Buying a budget...

Powerful processor ; Good rear camera ; MicroSD and removable battery ; Great price (free)

Ugly plastic design ; Low resolution screen ; Only 8GB internal memory

The LG Lucid 2 is our favorite free phone on Verizon. Could use a prettier chassis, a little more memory, and a higher resolution screen, but for those on a budget, it gets the job done.

LG Lucid 2 Review

Last year Verizon and LG partnered up to offer an inexpensive smartphone in the LG Lucid with 4G LTE , and now a year later we have the new and improved LG Lucid 2 on the SlashGear review bench. Today we'll be taking a look at LG's latest budget...

LG has done a rather fine job here in terms of what you get with the Lucid 2 for the price. The fact that they are offering a fairly decent mid-range phone (screen aside) completely free with a new 2-year contract is the selling point here. You get a...

LG Lucid 2 Review

Around this time last year, we reviewed at the original LG Lucid, which was designed to be an inexpensive basic smartphone. Now with the introduction of the new Lucid 2, we're seeing a bump in specs, such as a larger qHD display, more advanced...

Free with contract ; Pleasing size ; Good specs and plenty fast

Camera & video capture quality is a bit lacking ; Music app doesn’t offer many settings

Since the LG Lucid 2 is currently available for free with a 2-year Verizon contract, there is a lot to like about the device. It is small and lightweight, making it easy to carry around, the 4.3” qHD display is a nice size with clear text and images,...

LG Lucid 2 review

Don't just pass this one by - Verizon's potentially got a sleeper hit on its hands with the LG Lucid 2With a fanfare-free launch, a budget-friendly price tag, and modest specs, you woul...

The Lucid 2 is exciting in many ways-- not only is it free on contract, but it's a great device that's free on contract. It's lacking some of the bells and whistles that other phones justify their $200 and $300 price tags with, but for the average...

LG Lucid 2 smartphone review

Verizon Wireless has had the LG Lucid available for some time now. Coming as a follow-up, the carrier has recently released the Lucid 2, which has landed in the mid-range lineup as a budget friendly device. The LG Lucid 2 brings 4G LTE connectivity...

While we are not sure this would be enough for us to replace our personal higher-end phones, there is plenty of reason to want to recommend it to a friend or family member. The Lucid 2 isn’t a screamer in terms of power or performance, but it was able...

"So far so good, but I've only used it for 2 weeks."

I like it. I am very happy with the battery life of this phone, which is always an issue with smartphones. Other than the video noise, I can't find any other obvious errors. This is my second smart phone, my first was an HTC Incredible...which I...

Battery life!!!

Some trouble zooming in on websites, but not all of them.
