LG Optimus 3D Max Review

How can you differentiate your product from an entire range of top-end Android handsets without having to compromise on the features? You simply add that missing dimension to it, and you can concoct a device with a completely different USP, adding on...

The LG Optimus 3D Max is priced at Rs. 30,500. It’s not exactly fair to compare it with the likes of the HTC One S (which we're in the process of reviewing), the Galaxy Note, the Xperia S and the others as this phone has its own little niche. However,...

LG Optimus 3D P920

In the world of high-end Android handsets, manufacturers have already gone above and beyond in cramming in the absolute best of technology into a package small enough to fit in one's pocket. Massive 4-inch screens – check, dual-core processors – check,...

With an MRP of Rs. 37,000, we await the street price, which will only be known once the phone hits the shelves. If the launch price of the Optimus 2x is anything to go by, then don't be surprised if LG drops it all the way to 32K. At this price, it...

LG Optimus 3D Max (unlocked)

In a world full of cheap gimmicks, it seems easy to slap on the 3D moniker in order to compensate for a product that isn't up to par. (Remember that Justin Bieber movie, "Never Say Never"? Exactly.)

The LG Optimus 3D Max has a speedy dual-core processor and a crisp display, and it's equipped with an NFC chip and tag stickers.

The LG Optimus 3D Max's display has a narrow viewing angle when in 3D mode, and the 3D software is still buggy. Also, until an upgrade comes you're stuck on Android Gingerbread.

On its own, the 3D Max is a solid dual-core phone with some neat NFC-enabled features. But the hiccuping 3D feature, although cool, is a drag.

LG Optimus 3D Max Review

LG hasn't had a ton of commercial success with its Android phones in the United States, but in Europe and other regions, its Optimus brand has been doing well. Last year, we reviewed the LG Thrill 4G, an AT&T rebranding of LG's Optimus 3D phone. It was...

3D display is fun ; Solid construction ; NFC tags

Poor battery life ; Buttons and navigation confusing ; Runs Android 2.3 ; Camera is slow and bad in low light ; Shutter button doesn't work well ; 3D is still gimmicky

This phone has a great 3D effect, but it runs on an outdated version of Android, has poor battery life, features a camera that doesn’t hold up...

LG Optimus 3D Max P720 review: Remastered

It's been almost a year since the release of the original Optimus 3D from LG, and in that time we've been watching 3D technology continue to evolve. Undoubtedly you've seen the changes in your local cinema, and even your living room, if you happen...

Quad-band GSM and 3G support ; 21 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA ; 4.3" 16M-color capacitive LCD stereoscopic touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels) ; Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread with LG 3D UI ; Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor,...

Runs Gingerbread ; Less than impressive camera performance ; Still limited third-party 3D apps market ; Questionable outdoor performance ; Not the best dual-core performance ; Got rid of the microHDMI port, MHL instead

The LG Optimus 3D Max and the original Optimus 3D are so much alike you may have trouble figuring out the differences. Minor changes can sometimes make a big difference but one particular difference is not so hard to notice and, to us, it may as well...

LG Optimus 3D Max review

The Optimus 3D Max is perhaps the most puzzling entry in LG's 2012 lineup. Priced at €499.99 (around $635) SIM-free in the EU, it's something of a second flagship (behind the incoming Optimus 4X HD) for the Korean conglomerate, and as such represents a...

3D movies look great ; 3D converter has potential ; LG Tag+ is useful ; Seems built to last

3D sweet spot is too small ; Awful skin ; Buggy software ; Outdated OS ; Lackluster specs ; Ugly design

There are so many better phones out there for this price

LG Optimus 3D

Cilantro might be the most polarizing thing on this planet. Some people can't eat a fish taco without it, others cry frothy tears of dishsoap at its mere mention. The same may well be true of the LG Optimus 3D (known as the Thrill 4G in the US). We...

3D excitement ; Fast performance ; Spacious display

3D fatigue ; Bulky ; Runs Froyo

LG Optimus 3D: Fun, Powerful, and a Little Gimmicky

One of the most buzzed-about phones at Mobile World Congress was the LG Optimus 3D, the first mainstream phone to rock a 3D display. On top of that, the Optimus has a slick design, a dual-core processor, and a 3D camera/camcorder. We were disappointed...

Attractive design ; 3D games are fun

LG's Android user interface is a bit clunky ; Sometimes 3D can hurt your eyes

Although we're not entirely sold on 3D technology for mobile devices, the LG Optimus 3D is a fun yet powerful phone--3D or not.

LG Optimus 3D preview: First look, in stereo

A huge high-res screen, a new chipset expected to deliver beyond anyone's wildest hopes and 1080p video recording: the LG Optimus 3D sounds like a great package and we haven't even started yet. These are big ones no doubt, but not even close enough to...

Seriously powerful and having that one stand-out feature, the LG Optimus 3D certainly is a smartphone worth a second look. What's even better is that all the stereoscopic stuff actually works out fine so 3D fans won't regret their purchase.

LG Optimus 3D MAX Review

The LG Optimus 3D MAX is the second edition of the world's first 3D phone announced – the Optimus 3D – and it is more of a refresh than anything else. The processor is clocked higher and we have 1GB of RAM now, but most else stays the same, save for...

Glasses-free 3D screen and 3D pics/video capture ; 2D to 3D converter for apps, pictures and video ; 3D gaming ; Metal buttons and port lids class it up

Modest spec bump comes at too high of a price ; Mediocre pics and video quality in both 2D and 3D ; Substandard battery life

LG makes one of the very few phones for 3D shenanigans with the Optimus 3D and now the Optimus 3D MAX.
