LG Optimus Elite (Sprint) review

Stop me if you've heard this one, but I'm going to tell you about my experiences using an LG Optimus phone. All right, I know that's a bit snarky, but it's difficult not to make a joke when you've seen so many members of the Optimus family (more than a...

The LG Optimus Elite succeeds at the basic while throwing in a few extras like Google Wallet and Visual Voicemail. Camera quality is quite good.

The Optimus Elite has a small, low-resolution display and a plastic build. There was some distortion in call quality.

The LG Optimus Elite packs a couple of interesting extras, but at its core it's no more than an average Android phone with a less than elite design.

LG Optimus Elite (Sprint)

The LG Optimus Elite is friendly to the earth and your wallet, at the expense of power and performance.

Eco-friendly. Very little bloatware.

Low-end specs. Average camera.

Sprint Differences, Green Cred, and Conclusions This is the same phone as the LG Optimus Elite ($149.99, 3.5 stars) we reviewed over on Virgin Mobile. It loses half a star here because it doesn't stand out as much among the low-cost smartphones in...

LG Optimus Elite (Virgin Mobile)

The LG Optimus Elite is a fine way to get connected with an affordable service plan from Virgin Mobile, but it's running on dated hardware.

Responsive performance. Eco-friendly. Affordable plan pricing. NFC support.

Low-end specs. Average camera.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions You get 1.93GB of internal memory. There's also an empty microSD card slot underneath the battery cover, in which my 32GB and 64GB SanDisk microSD cards worked fine. The Elite did a nice job handling a wide variety...

LG Optimus Elite Review

Back when we reviewed the LG Optimus S a year and a half ago we came away amazed that such a low-end device could perform so well. Now LG is back with the Optimus Elite for Sprint. The follow-up improves on the original by adding a bigger display,...

Solid build, thin design ; Good battery life ; Nice performance for the price

Poor screen resolution ; So-so camera results

The Optimus One line of phones set the bar for entry-level Android devices, and the Optimus Elite is a worthy successor to the Optimus S. It improves on the winning formula in just about every category, and while it may have shortcomings it is still...

LG Optimus Elite review

Green, eco-friendly, and price conscious, the LG Optimus is certainly a budget phone - But is it for you? When I found out I'd get to do the LG Optimus Elite review, I was happy, to ...

If the Optimus Elite can get the same kind of developer love the Optimus S got, well, that'll certainly extend the life of this phone, but with the internals it's packing, there's no amount of recycled bottle caps that'll make purchasing this phone...

LG Optimus Elite Written Review by Sydney

In the realm of low-cost smartphones, there's usually not a whole lot that entices customers aside from the prices. I know a lot of people who make it a practice to simply buy whatever decent phone is free at the time when their contract is up.

Great battery life; great camera; eco-friendly; NFC and Google Wallet support; good price

Very slow 3G speeds; small-ish display; doesn't handle multi-tasking and web browsing very well

Outside of the price, there's nothing about the Optimus Elite that makes it overly desirable, though for some people that might be enough. It's a decent low-end phone, simple as that.

I wanted to love this phone. But it didn't love me.

I bought this phone as a very first android smartphone for myself. At first I was very happy with what was in the package. It was simple enough to use, had no trouble figuring out how to get started. That changed when I connected it to my wireless...

Great features for a low end smart phone. Great price. Very useful if you are Google savvy and not a heavy app user.

Processor sucks. Too many preloaded applications I will never use and cannot delete. Most of them took up quite a lot of RAM, caused lag on user applications. Screen didn't seem to understand calibration, especially when it was charging.
