Review LG Optimus G Pro E986 Smartphone

Equipped to the teeth. LG launches a new premium smartphone dubbe

High-quality build; SoC's performance; Bright and large Full HD screen; 16 GB of storage; LTE support; NFC module; Removable battery

Steep purchase price; Primary camera only middling for a premium device; Moderate battery runtime

The smartphone's rigidness. Despite its large 5.5-inch LC-Display, the Optimus G Pro E986 defies any attempts to warp or twist the casing in the test. Also, the smartphone does not produce any noises that would indicate material weaknesses.

LG Optimus G Pro (E988) Review

LG has had quite a bad rep when it comes to build quality of its smartphones. This issue has been persistent since the days of the Optimus Black and continues to be a problem with the current LG phones as well. The Optimus G was the last LG handset we...

Media The music player is exactly the same as the one on the Optimus G. The new brushed metal theme for the media player looks slick and is feature-rich too with support for FLAC amongst other formats. There’s also Dolby Mobile sound enhancement along...

Big, Big Love

Remember when mobile phones looked like military-grade tools and required satchel-sized battery cases? It's easy to scoff at them now, but Android handset makers seem hellbent on returning us to those days, or at least the updated equivalent. The giant...

LG Optimus G Pro (AT&T)

The LG Optimus G Pro is a well-designed, well-sized phablet with an accent on the phone part, balancing a big screen and single-handed usability admirably.

Actually feels like a phone, not a mini-tablet. Sharp screen. Fast processor. Very customizable UI

Call quality and camera quality could be better. You can't multitask enough apps

The LG Optimus G Pro ($199.99 with a two-year contract; $549.99 without) is a phablet for phone lovers. Where the Samsung Galaxy Note II really rides the line between phone and tablet, the Optimus G Pro does a better job of arguing for being a really...

LG Optimus G Pro Review

LG still has something to prove. Korean rival Samsung has surpassed it, but LG isn't taking the loss lightly. With the Optimus G, it targeted the Galaxy S3 and with the Optimus G Pro, it's taking on Samsung's other darling: the giant Galaxy Note 2. The...

Attractive, comfortable design ; Big, beautiful full 1080p screen ; Multitasking QSlide apps are novel and useful ; Best in class performance

Viewing angles aren't as wide as we'd like ; QButton gets in the way more than it helps ; UI is busy and comes off as derivative

The LG Optimus G Pro is a fantastic phone in almost every way. It’s too big for some users, but if you’re into heft, you should try out the G Pro before you go with the Note 2.

LG Optimus G Pro for AT&T: what's different?

Two Galaxy Notes and two Optimus Vus later, LG's ready to tackle the giant-sized smartphone niche, this time without the category's defining accessory: a

Powerful processor ; Gorgeous 1080p display ; Solid build quality

Disappointing battery life ; Confusing Android skin

Its winning mix of size, specs and price makes the LG Optimus G Pro a smart buy for AT&T customers seeking a Note II alternative.

LG Optimus G Pro ( AT&T)

After months of speculation, LG confirmed on Wednesday that its Optimus G Pro will be available exclusively on AT&T on May 10 for $199.99 after contract, with preorders beginning May 3.

The 4G LTE LG Optimus G Pro is reasonably priced and has an impressively fast Snapdragon 600 processor, and its expansive screen is sharp and bright.

The Optimus G Pro's size will prove too big for some, and battery reserves drain quickly.

Though it lacks a stylus, the Optimus G Pro is not only armed with high-end specs, but it's also still cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 -- making it the best AT&T phablet available now.

LG Optimus G Pro (AT&T) Review

LG's Optimus G Pro for AT&T offers a massive display and solid performance numbers, but it's missing some of the great features found on the international version.

Large, crisp HD display; QSlide apps make multitasking a breeze; Robust camera features; Can be used as TV Remote

Missing features from international version; Difficult to use with one hand; Remote app lacks program guide; No bundled pen for Note apps

LG's Optimus G Pro for AT&T offers a massive display and solid performance numbers, but it's missing some of the great features found on the international version.
