LG Optimus L3 Review

As you probably know, the new L-line by LG is style-conscious, so the L3 is actually a very interesting product, as it should be both inexpensive and good-looking at the same time. Yeah, we've seen dirt-cheap Android smartphones alright, but what about...

Looks better than the average entry-level phone ; Good performance and fluid UI ; Flash Player support

Overpriced ; The screen brings tears to your eyes... literally ; Very poor camera

All in all, there's no doubt that the LG Optimus L3 is one perfectly usable handset, with no serious issues to cause problems with its operation. We do like the fact that it looks better than your average low-end affair, and it actually outperforms it...

The LG Optimus L3 is a very affordable Smartphone but you need to compromise a lot of things such as the poor screen specifications, glitch software and awful hardware. It would be better you save a little more amount and buy some better device such as...

LG Optimus L3 review

The LG Optimus L3 is a budget Android handset that takes its design cues from the brand's higher-end models, but has it got a performance to match?

Great design ; Palm size simplicity ; Easy user interface

Low storage ; Poor camera ; Low resolution screen

LG Optimus L3 review

An entry-level handset that has a less than groundbreaking array of specs

1GB internal storage ; Compact ; Intuitive UI ; Strong battery life

Terrible display ; Clunky charging port ; Uncomfortable design ; No future Android updates

Although it is hard to overlook the loveable price tag, there are handsets out there will sub £100 stickers attached that overshadow the LG Optimus L3.

LG Optimus L3 Android phone (preview)

LG Optimus L3 preview: A stylish budget Android phone with a small screen

Attractive looking design ; Floating" screen ; Only $99

Small, low-res display ; No Ice Cream Sandwich software

Retailing for just $99 through Telstra, the pre-paid Optimus L3 is likely to bring some much needed style to the budget end of the Android market. It's just a shame about that small, low-resolution display and the lack of Ice Cream Sandwich software.

LG Optimus L3

Costing only £70 this is one of the cheapest Android phones we've ever seen.

Low asking price ; Long battery life

Good performance from the processor ; Screen is very poor ; Camera isn't much to write home about ; Uses an old version of Android

Perhaps unsurprisingly the L3 doesn’t run the latest version of Android, but instead uses V2.3.6 – also known as Gingerbread. However, LG has added its own skin over the top of this, which it calls Optimus UI 2.0 Lite. As the name suggests this is a...

LG Optimus L3 review

The LG Optimus L3 is certainly cheap but there are alternative Androids around this price that offer superior hardware and software. There's no logical reason to inflict this phone on anyone. Kids, make sure your parents read this review.

Cheap on pay as you go ; MicroSD card slot

Tiny, awfully low-res screen ; Creaky, scratch-prone body ; Glitchy software ; Underwhelming hardware

On pay as you go, the L3 is very affordable but there are far too many corners cut to make it a worthwhile buy. A very poor screen, glitchy software and creaky hardware all but guarantee that this is the phone of no one's dreams. If you spend a little...

LG Optimus L3 Review: In Depth

The L3 is a well built phone with a respectable processor and 1GB internal storage. The screen is poor though.

1GB internal memory ; 800Mhz processor ; Great battery performance

Low-res screen ; No camera flash ; Love/hate design

If you have a bit more budget we’d suggest opting for the Huawei Ascend G300, which is £100 on Vodafone, or alternatively try the T-Mobile Vivacity is just £49.99 and includes a 5-megapixel camera with flash.

LG Optimus L3

The LG Optimus L3 is an easy to use smartphone that will suit many needs. It has a great battery life, can download apps and delivers a decent web browsing experience, but that doesn’t stop it being distinctly average in every other area. LG Optimus L3...
