LG Rumor Reflex (Boost Mobile)

Editors note: Because they are nearly identical devices, our review for the LG Rumor Reflex on Sprint's network is the same for Boost Mobile's.

The LG Rumor Reflex has good call quality, a responsive touch screen, a slide-out keyboard for swift texting, and a user-friendly interface.

The Rumor Reflex's speaker quality is poor, the data connection was slow, and the camera interface is also poorly designed.

As a feature phone, the Rumor Reflex can do the basics well and its QWERTY keyboard and touch-screen display make it easy to use.

LG Rumor Reflex (black, Sprint)

Psst...have you heard the news? The LG Rumor is back, and this time it's called the Rumor Reflex. With a slightly bumped up camera, sleeker design, new touch screen, and a more expansive keyboard, the Reflex is a welcomed face-lift. Although it doesn't...

LG Rumor Touch (Virgin Mobile)

Now that Sprint owns Virgin Mobile , it's no surprise that a few of Sprint's phones have made it to the prepaid carrier's lineup. The LG Rumor Touch is one such device, and though the hardware remains the same, the Rumor Touch is now available for...

The LG Rumor Touch has a very text-messaging-friendly interface. Its slider QWERTY keyboard is easy to use, and we like that it has a 3.5mm headset jack for music, e-mail, social networking support, and great call quality.

The LG Rumor Touch's photo quality is average, and the touch screen isn't quite as responsive as we would like.

The LG Rumor Touch is a touch-screen phone for Virgin Mobile that is geared especially for messaging fans.

LG Rumor Touch (red, Sprint)

Long before messaging phones became a trend, LG has been making feature phones with full QWERTY keyboards. Verizon has its line of Voyager and enV handsets, and Sprint has the LG Rumor and the subsequent LG Rumor 2 . Though they made decent messaging...

The LG Rumor Touch has a unique text-messaging-friendly interface, plus it has a five-row QWERTY keyboard. It also has EV-DO Rev. 0, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, e-mail, and easy access to social network sites. Call quality is great as...

The LG Rumor Touch's keyboard layout could be improved, and the photo quality is average.

The LG Rumor Touch is a touch-screen messaging phone from Sprint with a user interface that makes text messaging a breeze.

Rumor by LG

LG's Rumor is a solid phone for hip text and Facebook addicts, but will they whisper about its shortcomings?

Very comfortable QWERTY keyboard ; Easy access to Facebook ; Sprint Navigation ; Clear call quality

Slow Web browsing ; Screen has poor resolution ; No camera flash ; No stereo Bluetooth

LG Rumor (black, Sprint)

The LG Rumor is Sprint's answer to those who want the convenience of a QWERTY keyboard without the complexity of a smartphone. A successor to the LG F9200 (which was for Cingular/AT&T last year), the Rumor is an attractive handset with a hidden...

The LG Rumor has a lovely design, with a built-in hidden QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, Bluetooth, and more. It provides easy access to Facebook, plus it supports Sprint Navigation

The LG Rumor does not have EV-DO, and surfing the Web can be quite slow. The screen has poor resolution, and the camera has no flash

Though the LG Rumor is not as fast as we'd like, it's still a great messaging multimedia device for those who don't need a lot of speed.

LG Rumor

For some time now, Sprint has had a gaping hole in its phone lineup. Although the carrier offers an array of powerful smartphones with QWERTY keyboards, none of its less-expensive feature phones were so equipped. For example, a Sprint subscriber...

Inexpensive. Compact. Includes two keyboards. Crisp voice quality. Flexible e-mail and instant messaging clients

No 3G support

LG packs the Sidekick's messaging power into a smaller, more-affordable handset that still feels expensive.

LG Rumor Touch (Virgin Mobile)

The Rumor Touch is a dual-band (850/1900 MHz) EV-DO Rev.0 device. There's no Wi-Fi. The Rumor Touch gets 3G speeds, just not the fastest possible speeds. That's fine here, as you'll mostly be trading text messages, IMs and low-bandwidth mobile Web...

Solid call quality. Roomy keyboard. Plenty of power for a feature phone. Value-packed prepaid and monthly options

Not much cheaper than a smartphone up-front

The LG Rumor Touch combines with Virgin Mobile's inexpensive plans to produce texting nirvana.

LG Rumor Review

The LG Rumor is the first non-smartphone in Sprint's lineup to offer a QWERTY keypad, and with direct access to Facebook, a built in AOL Instant Messaging client and a 1.3 megapixel camera it is clear that this device is aimed squarely at the teenage...
