LG Spectrum 2 (Verizon Wireless)

The wait for a decent LG phone on Verizon is finally over with the Spectrum 2.

The LG Spectrum 2 has NFC and wireless charging capabilities, fast 4G LTE speeds, and a camera packed with features.

The Spectrum 2 comes preloaded with too much bloatware, and has a thick profile and a poor audio speaker.

With its winning combination of a reasonable price tag, wireless features, and solid performance, the Spectrum 2 is an excellent Verizon handset in its price range.

LG Spectrum 2 (Verizon Wireless)

The original LG Spectrum was a high-end smartphone with a high-end price tag. Fast forward less than a year later, and we have the LG Spectrum 2. It's designed to compete with the rest of the heavy hitters in Verizon's lineup, and in most regards, it...

Beautiful display. Fast performance. Good price

Doesn't run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Bulky

The LG Spectrum 2 for Verizon Wireless gets you a first-rate smartphone for about half the price as other top picks.

LG Spectrum 2 (Verizon Wireless)

The Spectrum 2 is a solid midrange Android phone with a bright HD screen and built-in wireless charging, but it could use a Jelly Bean performance boost.

Sturdy design with comfortable soft-touch back; Bright display; Wireless charging capability; NFC stickers make it easy to change settings

Performance suffers from lag; Running old Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS; Below-average battery life

Click to EnlargeFor $99, the LG Spectrum 2 offers smartphone shoppers a big and bright HD screen, wireless charging capability and nifty NFC stickers for toggling settings with a tap. We also like the sharp camera and built-in video editing app. And...

"Good phone -- But Not Sure About Durability"

In looking for a replacement glass/touch screen, the part I would need is listed as "out of stock" at multiple parts vendors online. Most likely this is a common problem with this phone.

When it works I have no major complaints about this phone. The call quality, screen clarity, camera, etc. are all top tier. I also like the feel of the phone in your hand.

The problem is that it doesn't really seem like it's built for the long-haul. Possibly I got a defective phone, but since the problem is a crack in the screen (never dropped or hit the phone in any way), warranty replacement is out.

"Good bang for the buck!"

Had the device a week now, the learning curve was not too bad and I am fairly impressed. This is my first

Loads of features and fairly intuitive user interface, good touch screen response

Battery life, Speakerphone volume, could stand a couple of minor updates

"A fine smartphone from LG and worthy successor."

I really liked the original Spectrum I bought when they were released and the ICS update made it even better. I decided to get the Spectrum 2 because it carried on past the original Spectrum with a few new features and several improvements (LIKE ADDING...

Powerful, great screen, native ICS, decent battery life, has SD card slot, has replaceable battery (the ones from my old Spectrum fit), NFC, fine build qualtiy and THEY FINALLY BROUGHT BACK A NOTIFICATION LIGHT (on the power button).

Square corners are a bit sharp (if I have to complain about something).
