LG Spirit 4G Review

For $199, the LG Spirit 4G delivers strong performance, a bright 4.5-inch screen and long battery life. You also get some of LG's nifty software innovations, such as QuickMemo. Metro PCS customers willing to spend more up front will prefer the $499...

Good performance and graphics, Fast 4G LTE speeds, Excellent battery life, Bright Gorilla Glass display, Inexpensive over two years

Lackluster camera, Weak audio performance

LG Spirit 4G ( MetroPCS)

Save for one handset (the LG Motion 4G ), all of MetroPCS' LG handsets have been stuck on Gingerbread.

The LG Spirit 4G has a big, vibrant screen and 4G LTE, and is one of the few Android 4.0 ICS handsets on MetroPCS.

The Spirit 4G's audio speaker is poor and I heard my voice echoing at times during calls.

Despite its ho-hum call quality, the LG Spirit 4G is an affordable smartphone that performs reliably and runs Android 4.0.

LG Spirit 4G (MetroPCS)

Most people look to MetroPCS for a good deal, and you're not going to find a better one than the $199 LG Spirit 4G. It's a fast, powerful phone, with a thin design and a killer price tag. It isn't quite as good as the Samsung Galaxy S III, but it also...

Relatively inexpensive. Powerful processor. Fast LTE speeds. Thin, light design

Poor camera

The LG Spirit 4G is the best deal you can get on an LTE smartphone for MetroPCS right now.

LG Spirit 4G Review! [video]

No contract plans are great, except for how much devices cost when you have to buy them outright. Is the LG Spirit 4G the light at the end of the tunnel for MetroPCS customers?

LG Spirit 4G review

Anyone living in one of America's largest urban areas in 2013 has undoubtedly seen the claim: “Everybody's moving to Metro.” And the claim isn't that far off; in the pa...

The LG Spirit 4G on MetroPCS is an excellent option for those ready to cut ties with four major wireless carriers. Budget-friendly devices are finally worth seriously considering, and the Spirit 4G offers a sleek design and capable specs for a price...

"Bttr quadrants than the Galaxy S3-excellent smartphone."

I love my LG Spirit 4g. I didn't know LG made this kind of quality phones- I was an HTC-centric smartphone buyer- after my first phone was the grandaddy of smartphones -EVO 4G.

LTE is fast, processors handle anything, lots of internal space, battery removable, microsd card,I got this instead of the Galaxy S3- and am satisfied with it.

slippery! lots of bloatware, when rooted- not that big a choice of custom roms.

"This phone is a nightmare. DO NOT buy this phone!"

Worst phone we've ever had, despite being the second most expensive one.

Big screen

Everything else. Camera sucks. Response and sensitivity sucks. Makes calls and starts apps without ever touching it! Nightmare in a nice shell.

"The LG Motion meets its tall twin brother!"

If you're a fan of the LG Motion, then this phone will not disappoint. As I said, it comes with ICS, which I'm personally content with, even though it would've been nice for it to have Jelly Bean. But at least it isn't Gingerbread, which is definitely...

- Every bit as good as the LG Motion.

- It uses up a lot of its RAM while in use, especially when you have a lot of apps installed.
