LG Tribute 5 (Boost Mobile)

The LG Tribute 5 on Boost Mobile is an affordable Android smartphone that feels good in hand, but is held back by heavy bloatware, a low-res display, and limited RAM.

Affordable. Comfortable-to-hold design. Removable battery. Expandable storage.

Heavy UI layer and bloatware. Limited RAM and internal storage. Low-res display. Weak camera.

Software and Conclusions The Tribute 5 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop , with LG's heavy UI layer on top. There are a number of changes to the system, including different app icons and screen transitions, a modified notification shade, and an altered...

LG Tribute 5 Review: Selfie-Centric Phone Falls Flat

The Tribute 5 would be an amazing bargain for selfie-loving smartphone shoppers if its front camera produced consistently good-looking pictures. But without that selling point, the phone's other meager specs look that much more subpar.

Low price tag ; Voice-powered front-camera controls

Dim and low-res display ; Underwhelming cameras ; Noticeable lag when launching apps ; Limited onboard storage

Despite a $100 price tag, the Tribute 5's lackluster front camera and underwhelming specs make it a poor choice for bargain hunters.

LG's latest low-cost smartphone for Boost Mobile is the Tribute 5. The phone competes in a crowded roster of similarly-priced handsets in Boost's lineup and struggles to stand out from the crowd. Here is Phone Scoop's take on this inexpensive Android...

I'm torn on whether or not I should recommend the LG Tribute 5 to anyone. The phone's retail price is $100. Boost Mobile is selling it right now for $85. Inexplicably, Boost is still selling the LG Tribute 2 also for $85. It's also selling the LG Volt...

Hands on: LG K7 review

Also known as LG Tribute 5, it pays homage to LG's signature design

Inexpensive price expected ; Large 5-inch display ; Smooth arc glass design

Low resolution 480p display ; Very basic phone design ; Stuck with Android 5.1

Take vanity to the next level with LG's selfie-optimized K7 smartphone

If you're anything like me, you probably can't count the number of times you've needed to take a photo of yourself in a dimly lit area. Enter the LG K7, a 5-inch smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop, and equipped with many of LG's selfie-minded...

Alas, hardware details are scant, and we don't have any word on a price, or availability. Models will also vary by region, with different hardware and colors determined by whether you opt for LTE, or grab a 3G model. Stay tuned for more , when we get a...

Great phone for no contract

LG has some of the best phones available. The quality doesn't differ between carriers as do many other brands.
