LG Volt 2 (Boost Mobile)

The LG Volt 2 is an attractive, affordable Android smartphone for Boost Mobile users, but unlocked rivals offer more bang for the buck.

Affordable. Sleek, attractive design. Expandable memory and removable battery.

Lackluster camera. Limited internal storage. Bloatware.

Software and Conclusions The Volt 2 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, with LG's Optimus UI, some preloaded LG apps, and a significant amount of bloatware from Boost. Some of it is uninstallable, but most of it isn't, and you'll likely run out internal...

LG Volt 2

It's a device that'll do most everything a modern smartphone needs to without being especially fancy or flashy. You're getting LTE connectivity, a processor that doesn't choke on popular Android games or 720p video, and a 5-inch display that looks...

The LG Volt 2 is cheap and will run plenty of popular Android games and apps just fine. The phone also has Android Lollipop.

The camera churns out images that are dull and lifeless. Boost Mobile's performance in San Francisco is also sluggish. There's only about 4GB of storage space.

The LG Volt 2 is a solid performer, but there are better options to sift through at this price.

The Volt 2 finds the middle ground in Boost Mobile's assortment of Android devices. The Volt 2 is slightly improved over last year's model, and could be the right side for the phablet averse. Here is Phone Scoop's full review.

The LG Volt 2 is a decent mid-range handset. I can't say there's anything extraordinary or exceptional about it, and it performs about as well as a $150 smartphone should. It is a comfortable size with a good screen, but I wish call quality and battery...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Functional, if Old

I didn't actually bother with the phone part, just pulled the SIM card out and threw it away to keep it from nagging me about an activation I was never going to go through with. Now it constantly reminds me that I have no SIM card with a little icon in...

I've never owned a phone before, so this was sort of a new experience for me, but it seems to have all the features one would expect, as well as a decent amount of power to run anything that might require some powerful 3D rendering. The camera's not...

The power and volume buttons on the back are weird and difficult to get used to. The "selfie-cam" is pretty low quality and there are often bugs when rotating the phone with the camera on. There's also not much space and a bunch of bloated LG software...
