LG Vortex (black, Verizon Wireless)

If the LG Vortex looks familiar to you, that's because it's essentially Verizon's version of the LG Optimus T from T-Mobile and the LG Optimus S from Sprint. It has many of the same specifications--it's billed as an entry-level Android smartphone and...

The LG Vortex has a slim and simple design with a good touch-screen display. Features include GPS, EV-DO Rev. A, Wi-Fi with 3G Mobile Hotspot capabilities, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and stereo Bluetooth, and it ships with Android 2.2.

The LG Vortex isn't as fast as higher-end smartphones, and the camera has neither LED flash nor HD video capture. The browser doesn't support Flash video. It comes with Bing search and Bing maps instead of Google's own services. The price is not as...

The LG Vortex is a wonderful entry-level Android smartphone for Verizon Wireless, as long as you know its limitations.

LG Vortex (Verizon Wireless)

That said, Verizon's capacity to ruin a good thing borders on breathtaking. The carrier removed the phone's default Google search and replaced it with Microsoft Bing. The main menu is littered with Verizon bloatware that you can't remove. Downloaded...

Good mix of speed, screen resolution, and features for the price. Runs Android 2.2. Wi-Fi hotspot mode (at extra cost). Great battery life

Bloatware-infested. Inconsistent UI performance. Difficult to type on virtual keyboard

The LG Vortex, Verizon's version of the excellent LG Optimus One, is not as good as the others thanks to Verizon's bloatware.

The LG Optimus One family of phones has already proven to be a worldwide hit, and thus far the Optimus T and S for T-Mobile and Sprint, respectively, have hit the shelves with both critical praise and sales success here in the States. Now the third...

The LG Vortex is an entry level Android smartphone. It has a pretty decent set of multimedia features and a user friendly interface. Find out the strong and weak points of this particular device in this review.

The LG Vortex delivers the goods in terms of performance, features and design. Users will love its user friendly interface, sleek design and good set of standard multimedia features. You can pick it up on a 2 year contract at Verizon for $79.99 which...

LG Vortex Review

Considering you can get this device for free after rebates and new activation, or $280 without committing to a contract, it definitely sits on the lower end of the price scale -- although its hardware doesn't necessarily reflect its low price

Excellent price/performance ratio ; Good design

No physical keyboard

While it doesn't possess the same high-octane performance of it's more expensive peers, it will provide almost all of the same basic functions they do for a lower price

LG Vortex Cell Phone Review

Review of the LG Vortex, an inexpensive Android-based smart phone offered in the US by Verizon.

Solid construction ; Good call quality ; Good speaker ; Android 2.2 ; Stereo Bluetooth with voice dialing ; Mobile hotspot capabilities

Processor weaker than most smart phones ; Bing as default search engine cannot be changed ; Pre-installed apps including demos cannot be uninstalled ; No flash on camera ; Low screen resolution ; No Adobe Flash support

Review: LG Vortex

The LG Vortex brings the compact LG Optimus family to Verizon Wireless. Is this compact smartphone the black sheep of the flock?

LG Vortex

The LG Vortex is a simple cellular device with few advanced features.

The LG Vortex is a lightweight and compact cellular device

This multimedia cell phone features a 3.2-inch display screen

The LG Vortex is a multimedia cell phone that does not offer a lot of advanced features or technology, but it does provide the basics. It's easy enough to use that an individual new to multimedia cell phone technology would be able to pick it up and...

"Not Worth It, Every Pro Has 2 Cons"

Got this as a replacement phone thru Verizon's insurance plan after my LG Chocolate Touch quit working. It was one of 2 choices offered so I had little choice and the other was a Motorola that was pulled almost immediatly.

Easy to use, nice size, looks nice.

Poor battery life-to be expected tho.
