LG VU review

The LG Vu has been a long time coming. Ever since we saw the LG Prada early last year, we wanted a similar handset for the U.S. market. Not soon after, we grew jealous of our international cousins for having access to the LG Viewty , the 5.0-megapixel...

The LG Vu is a super sexy touch-screen phone with a 3-inch display and haptic feedback. Features include AT&T Mobile TV, HSDPA speeds, a 2.0-megapixel camera, a full HTML browser, and quad-band support.

The LG Vu's camera lacks flash, and there's a learning curve involved with the touch screen. Streaming video was a little choppy as well.

Despite a few quibbles with the touch screen, its full features and excellent performance make the LG Vu one of the hottest phones this year.

LG Vu

The Vu's home screen features four buttons at the bottom of the display: Main Menu, Mobile TV, Contacts, and Dial Pad. If you change a setting to enable the Shortcuts Menu (which I suggest doing), you also get Music, Messaging, Web Browsing, and IM on...

Fun touch-screen interface. 3G. Excellent mobile-TV service

Dismal PC syncing options. Background hiss during calls. E-mail, IM options are limited. No support for third-party Java apps

The closest thing so far to a true iPhone competitor, the Vu has many features Apple's phone lacks but ultimately falls short because it has trouble communicating with PCs.

LG Vu Review

From just looking at the Vu, it seems to have a very elegant and sophisticated look. Except for a silver ring around the sides and the camera, it's dressed entirely in black. Looks can be deceiving however. Once handled, there's a cheap feeling to the...

LG Vu - Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

When the LG Prada phone came out a year ago in Europe, it made quite a splash: it was the first consumer-oriented touch screen feature phone, and it beat the iPhone to market by several months. Unlike most touch screen business-oriented PDA phones, the...

Lovely looking, small and light. Very good haptic touch screen that's large, bright and clear. Autofocus camera takes good shots when there's enough light. Plenty of Bluetooth profiles including DUN, and A2DP sounds great. HTML web browser does a good...

3G reception is below average. Music player doesn't play nicely with iTunes AAC files despite claimed support. Fingerprint magnet. Email provider support is limited. Must remove battery to access the microSD card slot. Battery meter is inaccurate...

We like the Vu quite a lot. It's small, light and attractive with that chic look. Yes, it's plastic and pales in comparison to the iPhone's modern skyscraper glass and metal shtick, but when compared to mere mortal phones, it's good stuff. The touch...

LG CU920 Vu TV Review

While the LG CU920 Vu TV for AT&T is able to call itself a touch screen phone even though it's not a smartphone, it can't compete with the likes of the iPhone 3G and Samsung Instinct.

LG Vu-CU920

The LG Vu-CU920 is a very high end multimedia phone from LG. It is designed to appeal to the masses, the tech junkies, and the fashion fanatics. Almost like the Apple iPhone. Furthermore, it features a touch screen and a number of nifty functions from...

Lots of high end features ; A multimedia giant ; Attractive design ; 3G support

Poor battery life ; Camera and Bluetooth support outdated ; Not much built-in memory

The LG Vu-CU920 is a great phone with a lot of cool features. However, because it is only offered by AT&T, it puts it squarely in firing range of another phone with even more features, a better touch screen, and an even more attractive frame - the...

LG Vu - the squarer smartphone with hip pretensions review

With a 4:3 aspect ratio, the Vu feels a little like a mini iPad

Unfortunately the current model is LTE, and given the lack of an LTE network in the UK at present it wont be released on our shores just yet. The model we saw even had an extending antenna (like a portable radio) to pick up Korean T-DBM transmissions...

LG Vu 5in Android phone-tablet review

Mercedes vs BMW, Boeing vs Airbus, Asda vs Tesco: the world is full of directly competing commercial entities locked in a bitter struggle for market share. In Korea, Samsung and LG go head-to-head in much the same way, so it's no surprise that LG has...

The Vu is an idiosyncratic device that many folk will dismiss out of hand for its odd shape. But in its defence, I’d say it offers a lot of high-quality screen real estate, 32GB of storage and is the cheapest unlocked Tegra 3 smartphone around. It may...

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Do not buy this phone.

Spend the money and get an iphone

The phone worked for awhile, good alarm

Bad touch screen. This phone is terrible. I've gone through 2, and both times my screen has gone black. I can feel the touchscreen, just nothing there. Very aggravating
