Meizu MX3 Review

With the release of the Meizu MX3, the company once again aims high with their ability to create a high-end device that, at first, looks like it'd be able to compete with the finer solutions by the top manufacturers in the USA. What we've got here...

Meizu continues to impress with their latest smartphone entry here with the MX3. We were already impressed with the abilities of the Meizu MX all the way back in 2012 - here two generations later, things have only gotten better. While we wouldn't...

Meizu MX3 (Unlocked)

Meizu's MX3, one of the hottest phones in China, is currently available in the U.S. for $429.99 from Lightinthebox.com. I don't think anyone in the U.S. should buy this device. Rather, it's a perfect lesson in how different China's Android market is...

Reflective screen struggles outdoors ; Limited battery life ; Non-expandable storage ; Non-removable battery ; No FM radio ; Hard to undo back panel ; No NFC on 16 GB model

Meizu has delivered a solid smartphone and an interesting alternative to the mainstream Android flagships. The MX3 is more than capable of meeting even advanced users' needs, while the way of interacting with the device is simple and in large parts...

Meizu MX3 Problems

Smartphones come in many shapes and sizes and Meizu is an international brand that makes some compelling hardware for their target markets. While they were at CES showing off the MX3, we were given a chance to review it for a possible US market push....

Since the touch screen is bad, we simply can't finish the full review. We will revisit the MX3 or a future Meizu phone in the future if the opportunity is presented, though.

Meizu MX3 review

Phones from Chinese manufacturers are slowly coming to the west – and at pretty affordable packages. Though perhaps not entirely new at this point, Meizu's latest flagship phone made us turn our heads – for more than a few reasons. Check it out, in our...

They did a cool thing with that button. If there’s got to be one, why not also make it the notification led? It’d be cool to see Samsung make their home button also the notification led in S5!
