Motorola Brute i680 (Nextel)

Do you like your cell phones tough? The push-to-talk Motorola Brute i680 for Nextel Direct Connect is another rugged handset in the vein of last year's Motorola Tundra on AT&T. The Brute is the direct descendant of a true classic, Motorola's rugged yet...

Very rugged. Stellar call quality. Loud speakerphone. Fabulous battery life

Large, thick, and heavy. Multimedia features still feel like afterthoughts

The Motorola Brute i680 offers push-to-talk subscribers a rugged phone with excellent call quality.

Motorola Brute i680 (Sprint)

The Motorola Brute i680 doesn't pretend to be anything other than exactly what it is. Even the slightest glance will show that this is one tough, durable phone. Its thick rubberized skin and bulky profile is far from attractive, but you know that it...

The Motorola Brute i680 has a rugged, durable design, well-designed controls, and a functional feature set. Call quality is top-notch

The Motorola Brute i680 is missing a dedicated Back button and an exterior camera shutter. The headset jack is 2.5mm, and photo quality is forgettable

The Motorola Brute i680 isn't pretty or flashy, but it delivers on call quality and its design should withstand the elements.

Super-durable flip-phone delivers great call quality

The Motorola Brute i680 not only lives up to its tough-sounding name but also delivers great call quality and easy navigation, according to reviews. While far from sleek, measuring in at just under 4 inches tall by about 2 inches wide and an...

"Worst phone I have ever owned...Period"

The first one I got just shut down by itself randomly (returned), the second one had the hinge of death (returned) and nextel button imploded on my current one along with the hinge of death.

When brand new...Features work and are enjoyable

After a few short months of normal use or heaven forbid it falls out of the poorly designed clip one time onto as much as a grassy surface (which it will) Rt hinge will break allowing phone to flop open & closed.

"I LOVE THIS PHONE~!!!"

Overall, it is a well made product. I have not had any problems with this phone that I had with my i680. Yes, it was only a short dunk in the pool, but ANY other phone would have been done-for!! I would buy this phone again and I would recommend it to...

Though this phone is bigger and not as "COOL" as other phones, it performs like a champ!! I dropped my phone in the pool on accident. I quickly opened it, removed the battery and dried it off and it still works great with no problems!! A good solid phone!

Again, not the coolest phone and it doesn't have a key pad for texting.

"nice features but very poor reception"

I would not recommended this phone to anyone.

MP3 player is great.

This is the first phone I have had that I can not get reception in my office at work. Camera doesn't take very good photos on the bast setting.

Initial quality-appearance A / long term durability F-

The phone itself is an excellent device initially. It appears to have reasonable drop armor, a sealed battery / card bay, a nice screen setup, and great quality when new

This phone is billed as part of their "rugged" series and appears to be built so -until it is used on a regular basis. I have a "fleet" of 8. 4 have broken hinges. There are two problems. In normal outdoor work environment conditions, sweat or humidit
