Motorola Citrus Reviewed

Released on November 11th, 2010, the Motorola Citrus is an entry level Android powered smartphone. Running on Android 2.1 with some lower specs, is this model worth the cheap price being offered?

Overall the Motorola Citrus is actually quite a disappointment. Though it does have a low price point of $49.99 on contract, it's still a very underwhelming Android handset. The sluggish interface, horrid resolution and fairly useless 3 megapixel...

The Citrus is available for $100 with a 2-year contract from Verizon Wireless. However, a current online promotion from this carrier makes it free with the 2-year contract. Without a contract, it is $290

Small size ; Good battery life (in most conditions) ; Durable construction

Performance is not great ; Small screen

It isn't a smartphone that's meant to be pushed like the Droid Pro or the Samsung Fascinate - but it offers some similar experiences, and keeps a few dollars in your wallet while offering some similar abilities

Requires data plan

Verizon requires all "Advanced" phone to have a data plan. You can technically get a Prepaid data plan but that's still $75 a month with voice + data. I don't know of a way around here. Other mobile carrier does not require this.

Wrong Manual

When I purchased the phone I thought I was purchasing a "new" phone. When I received it, it looked like it had been opened and had been used. I could tell because the plastic on everything was torn and retaped. There wasn't any paper work with the...
