Motorola Droid Turbo 2 review

The Droid Turbo 2 is the most durable phone on the market.

The Droid Turbo 2 seems to have it all: a nice display, blazing speed, great battery life, a near stock Android experience, useful apps, a decent camera, and a shatterproof display. Seems like a worthy flagship right?

Droid Turbo 2 review: A souped-up smartphone marred by carrier bloat

Motorola's powerful smartphone would be better off if it were freed from Big Red's shackles.

Long lasting battery life that can make it through almost two days ; A shatterproof screen that won't bust on you ; You can customize it as you like with Moto Maker

So much Verizon bloatware, it's not worth the exclusivity

Despite its inclusion of Big Red bloatware, this is an impressive device from Motorola. If only it weren't tied down by the Droid branding, this could have been Motorola's flagship for the year.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 review: ready for the drop

I'm biking through Brooklyn when the Droid Turbo 2 slips from my hand and smacks the pavement. For any other phone, this would be a disaster — a spiderweb of cracks across the screen, if not a...

Display really won’t break ; Crazy long battery life ; Smooth performance

Display should be sharper ; Inconsistent camera ; High price

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 ( 32GB, Black Soft Grip)

I don't think I can overemphasize this point: the screen doesn't shatter . It doesn't matter whether you drop it on an edge, a corner, or face-first into the pavement. You can step on it. Run over it with a vehicle. (Yes, we actually did that! You can...

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 has a tough screen that won't crack. Plus, it has top-tier performance, solid battery life and the ability to design your own phone at Motorola's website.

The Turbo 2's camera lags behind the best you can buy, and the shatterproof screen comes with some trade-offs. In the US, it's exclusive to Verizon.

The Verizon-exclusive Droid Turbo 2 delivers on its promise of an uncrackable screen -- and it's a great all-around Android phone, too.

Motorola Droid 2 Global review:

Editors' note: The Motorola Droid 2 Global has a very similar design to the Motorola Droid 2. In this review, we'll focus on the Droid 2 Global's features and performance. For more on the smartphone's design, please check out our review of the Motorola...

The Motorola Droid 2 Global offers world-roaming capabilities and has a faster processor than the Droid 2. The Android 2.2 smartphone can also be used as a mobile hot spot.

Battery life could be better.

The Motorola Droid 2 Global is a solid Android smartphone for globe-trotting executives looking for a BlackBerry alternative.

Motorola Droid 2 Review: Rebooting the Droid

The launch of the first Motorola Droid was a watershed moment for the Android platform and Motorola alike. The original Droid's masculine and modern industrial design showed the world that the nearly-finished handset maker hadn't lost the ability to...

Review: Motorola Droid 2 Smartphone

The Motorola Droid 2 makes some modest improvements in hardware and software to make for a (mostly) winning follow-up to the original.

High call clarity and great reception mean you can actually use it as a phone. Sound output is loud enough to play music for friends. Lightning-fast internet browsing. Slide-out keypad is spacious and easy to use

Would have to start wearing cargo pants to be able to put it in our pockets. Fairly difficult to navigate at first. Picture and video quality are okay, but nothing we’d really want to upload to Facebook

Motorola Droid 2

Ships with latest version of Android ; Improved design

Motoblur detracts from a few native Android apps ; Camera is mediocre

The Droid 2 is a big improvement over its predecessor, but if you take a lot of pictures with your smartphone, you might want to opt for another Droid.

Motorola Droid 2 (Verizon) Review

The Droid 2 is a very good sequel, boasting slicker design with a more comfy keyboard, a speedy processor, and a highly functional version of Android 2.2 (with Motorola's custom widgets). However, this phone also has some drawbacks, including buggy...

Much improved keyboard, Customizable widgets, Android 2.2 OS, Fast hotspot connections

Wi-Fi problems, Mediocre call quality, Inconsistent Flash performance, No HD video recording or HDMI

Droid 2 review

Even by mid-2010 standards, Verizon's original Droid still looks and feels thoroughly modern -- after all, it set a pretty high benchmark for the upper end of Android's product portfolio when it launched late last year, and Motorola has managed to keep...

Handsome hardware ; Significantly improved keyboard ; Mobile hotspot support

Strange signal strength and data issues ; Motorola's UI skin serves no purpose ; No 720p recording, weak photo quality
