Motorola WX345 (red, Consumer Cellular)

Consumer Cellular, an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) based out of Portland, Ore., has made it its mission to provide relatively basic phones, particularly for senior citizens. These phones include the Doro handsets like the Doro PhoneEasy 345...

The Motorola WX345 has a simple, lightweight design and decent features like a music player, an FM radio, stereo Bluetooth, and a 2-megapixel camera. It's also very affordable

The Motorola WX345 feels quite cheap, the display is mediocre, and we would prefer an external camera button

For the price, the Motorola WX345 is a fantastic, easy-to-use phone with more than the basic features.

Motorola WX345 Review

The Motorola Wx345 is a nice easy-to-use clamshell phone with basic set of features. The best feature of the phone is its long battery life. You get up to 9 hours of talk time on full charge, but there are other advantages to owning this phone too.

The Motorola WX345 is an attractive looking lightweight device that is made for people who don’t want a very hi-tech phone, but a simple phone that offers easy navigation, simple features and a solid quality. This phone has a very good battery life,...

"Decent cheap flip phone."

Not a bad phone, but could be better with louder alert and speaker phone volumes.

Camera, battery life, vocal sound quality, price and web browser to check my weather when in the field.

Alarm, speaker phone, ring volumes too low. Bad ringtones. Vibrate too soft. Image quality. Too many steps to a phone number, text and take photo. Alarms in 24 hr time. Jack size. No cover for the USB port or audio jack.

"Not too shabby for $35"

This is a simple, inexpensive phone that actually has some features more expensive phones find lacking. It is the cheapest phone offered by Consumer Cellular (for people "not joined at hip with their cell phone). If you want unlimited minutes and all...

FM radio (earphone only)

No GPS (lose phone--cheap enough to buy another)

"Good enough for the price"

I thank Consumer Cellular for making cellphone ownership possible for me, and I thank AARP for my 10% discount!

If you want your cellphone experience to be simple, this phone is perfect. It makes calls, takes calls, sends and receives texts, you can personalize your contacts with ringtones and sort them by group. The radio works just fine. I don't download MP3s so

I was surprised with a backstage pass and met Paul Simon (!). I think the 2 people in the picture someone took of us are Paul and me, and I guess that'll have to be enough. The camera -- not so good.

What a Turd

If you pay more than thirty ($30.00) dollars for this phone you are getting ripped off.

It's a cheap phone

Poor sound quality for phone calls and mp3 player ; Mp3 player is hard to load with music, U have to load each song into a phone created play list one at a time. Battery time is short especially if you use the player. Camera takes blurry photos

To Good to be True

If the phone is targeted for senors, keep working motorola. Making and answering calls works well, but if you have to use the calendar, Look Out ! I find it interesting that I can't find anyone who knows exactly how the phone works. Have had many...

Large buttons, Easy to view screen

Vibration is weak. Menu is difficult to understand. Alarm for calendar reminder does not turn off with push of a button. Cannot choose proper time zone for time/date setting

"Failed early under benign cond. Motorola refused to fix"

I consider myself a pretty even-tempered guy, not subject to extreme positions, but I've now taken a personal vow never to buy a Motorola product again as they seem incapable of building a product they're willing to stand behind. Not a good way to...

In the 3 days this phone was working I really liked its combination of features. It was also free through Comsumer Cellular.

I set the alarm and it went off while the phone was in my pocket along with my handkerchief and a plastic comb. It cycled through ringing for 5 seconds, quiet for 55 then on for 5, etc. Was busy with other things so didn't get to it for about 5 minutes. W
