WHILE it has some annoying niggles and is far from perfect, the Vodafone 830i is definitely worth considering if your main goal is to save some money.
Stylish design, reasonable build quality, decent features, HSDPA-capable, value for money
Implementation and design of controls, poor camera, battery life, proprietary headphone/charging jack
Vodafone's 830i doesn't offer anything new or innovative, but it does provide a reasonable number of features for a competitive price.

EVEN though the Vodafone 228 is a very cheap mobile phone, there are plenty of similarly priced competitors that do a much better job.
Cheap, small and light, simple menu
Overly firm keys, battery life, shaky slider, no Bluetooth connectivity, input lag
Even though the Vodafone 228 is a very cheap mobile phone, there are plenty of similarly priced competitors that do a much better job and have more features.

Commanding an outright price of under $400, the Nokia E63 includes a full QWERTY keyboard - but it lacks built-in GPS and HSDPA connectivity.
Excellent design and keyboard, switch mode feature, Wi-Fi, user interface, price
Lack of HSDPA connectivity, no GPS, spacebar has been shrunk, downgraded camera

THE Nokia N85 boasts an OLED display, a built-in FM transmitter and better battery life than other smart phones.
OLED display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA capable, microSD slot and 8GB card, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM transmitter
Build quality of slider, display is difficult to see in direct sunlight
It's not a revolutionary product, but Nokia's latest N-Series handset, the N85, is smaller, cheaper and has better battery life than the top-of-the-range N96. If you're after a fully fledged multimedia phone with most of the latest features, the N85 ...
