Nokia 3500 classic review: Classicaly simple

To get it straight, Nokia 3500 classic is not the kind of handset to have you head-over-heels in love. It was never meant to be. What really matters in this classic from-the-head-not-the-heart scenario is ease of use, decent looks and passable...

1.8" TFT 256K-color display ; Compact and light-weight handset ; 2 megapixel camera ; microSD card slot ; Good organizer ; S40 3rd edition user interface ; Stereo FM radio ; 2.5mm standard stereo audio jack ; MiniUSB slot ; Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP ;...

Inadequate display resolution ; No 3G ; Java-based email client ; No hot swap for the memory card ; No camera flash and no dedicated shutter key ; Disappointing video recording ; 8.5 MB of internal memory only ; User interface has limited capabilities

Talking about the competition of Nokia 3500 classic is risky: there are so many handsets we can easily miss. To begin with, Sony Ericsson K550 seems to bring an almost identical set of features. The slightly higher screen resolution and the Cyber-shot...

Fantastic Router for Tomato/USB

Totally trouble-free over the past 6 months. Fast, silent, runs cool, never needs a reboot or power-cycle. Using it with a 50mbit/sec Cable internet connection here.

Full support for alternative Open Source firmware (DD-WRT/TomatoUSB/etc) ; Vertical mount for excellent convection -- cool and reliable ; GigE networking, regularly passes LAN traffic at 100MBytes/sec ; CPU, RAM, and Flash to spare. Using Tomato/USB...

Wifi is not dual-band 300/300, but the price is lower as a result ; USB throughput is terrible (5-10MBytes/sec), though this issue seems commonplace with routers

Great Router, Poor Base

Haven't tried the USB port yet because I don't have a use for it, but I expect that it will work. -I have not yet had to reset the router and I've used it almost nonstop for two months. Over 400gbs has passed through this router and it is still running...

Open source ; Great range (others say that the router has poor range, but it has a little bit better than our old Cisco router) ; Many different configurations ; Allows a guest network ; VERY easy to set

The stand is horrible which is the reason for the minus one egg. With all of the cords sticking out of the back of it, it can easily tip over if there is a lot of movement ; The wireless signal does not go through 1' thick cement walls that are 100'...

Phil's Reviwe

This was the first time i messed with DD-WRT or any kindd of open source firmware for a router, and I really enjoyed it.. so I gave the review a 5 egg. If your a fan with overclocking, and tweaking with Bios on your motherboard, then this thing will...

Looks just like a Netgear WNR-2000 seies... except its heavyer not as flimsy ; Used Stock Firmware for about 5 minutes... to actually download DD-WRT and look at some install guides ; Open Source DD-WRT compatible. live graphs of bandwidth, ability for...

Router appears to be a V1 at first.. it comes with V1 only numbered firmware from Netgear, and also flashes with v1 opensource stuff.. but after flashing, it shows in DD-wrt that its a V2.... iam kinda confused now.. because I used all V1 firmwares for...

Great after firmware upgrade

For the money, you can't go wrong with this product.

Good performance and pretty reliable

Required firmware upgrade before reliability was acceptable

Lasted almost a year

Netgear tech support says that free support ended at 90 days, so I have to purchase a warranty extension for them to help me now. They won't listen to what I'm trying to tell them: I need an RMA, not someone holding my hand through another...

Worked well for about 10 months. Stable, good signal. Good management options and interface

The router is 2 weeks less than a year old as I write this. Over the last couple of months, we've had problems with bandwidth but didn't know why until the last couple of days. After 5 conversations with Comcast customer support and a lot of...

easy set up, no power

I returned unit and purchased the 600 series Netgear router with a range extender...router worked well, better range and dual bands, however the range extender would drop the signal. couldn't get to stay on the IPhone. I returned this as well and...

Easy set up, easy to set up wireless security

Poor range and signal strenth

did not work

None

router did not understand that my Comcast connection is via a dynamic IP address. Router would only assign static IP ; Router did not work after spending 1.5 hours trying to set up with multiple attempts /computer reboots etc

4 any support!

All I asked was if this router could be used as an AP...Never got an answer, but they did want to charge me $60 before going any farther. F'Them! I'd rather buy from someone else. TYVM I used to be a Netgear fan, not so much after this experience!

Nice specs, Haven't had a chance to check them out

customer support wanted me to pay $60 just to get a simple question answered!Tech support outsourced to India... Good luck to you if you want to actually communicate anything beyond the basics
