Nokia 6303i classic review: Retro chic

It's either a job that pays the rent or a job to love, not both. If the Nokia 6303i had this mentality it would be in big trouble. Fortunately, there's nothing to worry about here. It's a handset that knows its place and does the job it's paid to do....

Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; 2.2" 16M-color QVGA display with excellent sunlight legibility ; 3 megapixel camera, fixed-focus and LED flash ; QVGA video recording at 8fps ; Refreshed S40 user interface, 6th edition ; Stereo FM radio with RDS ;...

No 3G ; Memory card slot under the back cover ; Below par camera image quality ; No smart dialing ; No multi-tasking of any sort ; No office document viewer

The Nokia 6303i classic is an "i" phone – but not the Apple variety. Call it a facelift or call it a sequel – it's a sub that comes in to keep sales strong. Some minor improvements are implied to an already well-rounded product

Nokia 6303 classic review: Euro hatch territory

If we're allowed an automotive metaphor, the Nokia 6303 classic is one of those handsets that will get you from A to B without burning rubber at the traffic lights. It's just how most phones are used: voice call cruising...

Before you go on reading, just remember who this phone is aimed at and learn to live with the fact that it doesn't even have 3G

Nokia 6303 Classic mobile phone

Another classic from Nokia?

Build quality, price, easy to use, great keyboard, bundled 1GB microSD card

If calling and texting is the mainstay of your mobile use, with the occasional photo here and there, then the Nokia 6303 Classic might just fit the bill

Nokia 6303

The Nokia 6303 is a functional revision to the original 6300 template

Solid bodywork; 3.2-megapixel camera; Impressive battery life; Good media player; 3.5mm headphone socket; 1GB MicroSD card supplied

No 3G or Wi-Fi; Camera autofocus is basic; No GPS or cellsite triangulation for Nokia Maps; Poor earphones supplied; Numberpad could be bigger

Nokia is an old hand at producing mid-range phones that may not excite tech-geeks but which hit the sweet spot for a certain type of user, and consequently rack up huge sales over several years

Nokia 6303 Classic

Like things simple but still value quality? The 6303 should be right up your street.

The Nokia 6303 is one of the best 'basic' phones on the market. It's small and slim yet easy to handle, and is superbly well made. It's also great for making calls on, has a vast battery life, doubles as a great little mp3 player and even has a half...

Nokia 6303 Classic review

The Nokia 6303 Classic lives up to its name by refining the best features of the phones of yesteryear, and packing them into a solid case that's lovely to hold. It's a perfect phone for anyone who wants easy calling, texting and music for a low price,...

Handsome looks ; Solid-feeling metal body ; Big keys ; Standard 3.5mm headphone jack ; Memory-card slot ; Simple user interface ; Good syncing with PCs ; Dual LED photo lights

No 3G, GPS or Wi-Fi ; No syncing with Macs

Conclusion There's no doubt that the Nokia 6303 Classic is a basic phone, lacking high-end features like 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi. But it offers great build quality and its good looks will send other budget phones running in shame to put paper bags over their...

Nokia 6303 Classic Review

Not only is it a tough little phone it also looks great and comes in a satisfying metal casing that protects it and adds a touch of class.

There isn't much we don't like about the 6303. It's a simple phone with simple ambitions and Nokia has added a few extras that make that little bit better than its predecessor, in particular a 3.5mm headphone jack. 3G would have been nice but we like...
