Nokia E7 - Is This the End of the Communicator?

The Communicator has been synonymous with the word “big” in the mobile business, ok I'm kidding. Jokes aside the size of these devices never really mattered what mattered was sheer communication functionality the series was able to deliver. We've been...

With a price tag of Rs. 29,990 (MRP) the Nokia E7 does not live up to its Communicator legacy. It could have potential as a WP7 device, when the OS is ready, like I’ve been saying. As is, it’s a more or less well designed handset with a quirky slider...

Nokia E7 (green, unlocked)

If you've been a cell phone fan for a while, you might remember the days when the Nokia Communicator series was the status symbol of a powerful businessperson. Nokia eventually developed the line into the E series, and its latest flagship model, the...

The Nokia E7 boasts a premium design and has a fantastic QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone's 8-megapixel camera takes excellent pictures and video. Battery life is also good

The Symbian platform falls short of the competition, and the phone can be sluggish. The E7 has a lower-resolution display and doesn't have an expansion slot

The Nokia E7 has some wonderful qualities, like great hardware and excellent battery life, but ultimately its inferior software trips up this business-oriented smartphone.

Nokia E7

Over the years, we've seen a steady stream of business and messaging-centric landscape QWERTY smartphones come and go, with HTC arguably leading the pack via its collection of Windows Mobile, Android, and WP7 devices featuring sliding keyboards and...

Gorgeous hardware ; Excellent battery life ; Strong camera performance

Symbian is a disaster ; EDoF is a mistake ; Low pixel density

Nokia E7 review: Open for business

Business as usual for the Eseries is a cliché – thank you very much. But the kind that makes the world feel right. The Nokia E7 could've been just another Eseries phone. Oh well, that wasn't meant to be. The latest is implicitly the greatest but, in...

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; Penta-band 3G with 10.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA ; Anodized aluminum unibody ; 4" 16M-color ClearBlack AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 640 x 360 pixel resolution ; Scratch resistant Gorilla glass display ; 8...

Symbian^3 is still behind Android and iOS usability standards ; Ovi store content is inferior to Android market and App Store ; Fixed-focus on an 8 megapixel camera is just wrong ; Camera interface is decidedly outdated ; Battery is not...

Symbian hasn’t seen any groundbreaking changes in its recent history and Anna isn't one either - like the jump from ^1 to ^3, it's an incremental update that improves things but leaves some rough edges untouched.

Nokia E7 Review

Arriving on the market late, the Nokia E7 finds itself launching at a shaky point in the Finnish company's history. Under new management, suffering doubts – internal and external – over the strength of its current platforms, and watching increasing...

If the Nokia E7 was running Android, or Windows Phone 7, it would undoubtedly be a best-seller. Nokia’s quality design and construction are rightly admired, and for text entry the E7′s physical keyboard is superb. Where the original Nokia Communicators...

Nokia E7 (Unlocked)

There's an on-board accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor, and ambient light detector. The front panel slides up and at an angle to reveal a roomy, four-row QWERTY keyboard. It requires a somewhat tricky maneuver to pull this off, but I got used to...

Beautiful hardware all around. Terrific camera and camcorder. Plenty of business connectivity

Frustrating UI. No microSD card slot. Short battery life. Very expensive. OS is doomed

For die-hard Symbian fans, the Nokia E7 is a beautiful farewell as the company shifts to Microsoft's mobile OS; all others should stick with Android or iOS devices.

Nokia E7 vs LG Optimus 2X vs Apple iPhone 4

The Nokia E7, LG Optimus 2X and the Apple iPhone 4 are one of the best and most current representatives of rather different mobile operating systems – Symbian, Android and iOS. It's a long shot to compare the three as they are so different, but it...

Retaining most of the wonderful features and design cues from the Nokia N8, the E7 just might have the perfect mix of ingredients, with its peculiar looking keyboard, to consider itself as being the next big smartphone from Nokia's camp. Is that really...

The Nokia E7 is a great phone to have and a welcome change to the Nokia E Series family of business oriented smartphones. The design is excellent with its options for a hardware QWERTY slide out keyboard making this phone much easier to use. The...
